I'm actually surprised by how much I like this Circle of Fifths Wheel. I have others, but I wanted something easier to see and use than the paper and plastic ones I own. I wasn't expecting much at this price ($7.99 at the time of this review), but I thought it couldn't hurt to try it, and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised by what I received.First and foremost, the wheel is quite well-made. I don’t know what type of wood was used to make this, but it smells good and feels sturdy. The wheel's surface is smooth, with no splinters or rough areas, and the chords and "dial" arrow are easy to read. The dial glides smoothly and easily, though this was the only area where I would change one thing if I could. I wish there were a way to lock my desired position in place, as it moves if I jostle it too hard when holding it. It will mostly sit on a table when I use it, so that isn't as big of a deal as it would be if I intended to prop it up on something, but worth noting for those who intend to use it differently.Overall, though, I'm really happy with this. it's absolutely perfect for me and my needs.

Though I took music lessons for years, this variation on the Circle of Fifths is useless. No instructions are included. I asked a friend who was a band director and he didn’t understand its purpose either. Glad it wasn’t expensive.The wheel is a lightweight wood product with a moveable piece to determine your chord selection. This key easily moves so it will not stay in place if used on a music stand or piano.
