Perfect fit
This part was exactly what I needed for the passenger side of my tailgate. The original broke and the tailgate was loose and the slow drop down stopped working. This part fixed it. You only need one (though I didn't actually take the drivers side of the tailgate out).

Does not fit 2017 Tacoma
The plastic is just slightly too thick … so it would not go on . just ordered the part from Toyota dealer for 8$.

Perfect Fit
A perfect fit for 3rd generation Tacomas. One of those little, but necessary parts. In fact, had I not noticed the broken one before my truck went into a body shop, I would have never known about it. Apparently, the body shop never did… and my truck was returned without one. Anyhow, if this is the part you’re looking at to align your Tacoma’s bed gate properly, you’ve found it.

Great Fix For my '21 Tacoma Tailgate
The tailgate on my '21 Tacoma had broken and I no longer had the soft opening on my tailgate. This inexpensive part fixed the problem that would probably have cost over $100 to take to any mechanic much less a dealtership. And now I have a spare if I need it.

Junk, Doesn't Fit, Breaks Immediately
Junk, only reason it's got 2 stars is because the second one I haven't installed yet but I'm sure it's as much junk as the second. These are obviously made out of a cheaper crappier plastic than OEM and did a poor job replicating these, my OEM one lasted 8 years. These don't fit without having to hammer it on to the male side and then I had to bore out the inside with a Dremel tool on the female side to eventually get it to fit. Once it did the top outside (which I didn't touch) cracked immediately after cycling the tailgate the first time. So will be returning (honestly not worth the postage to return).
