I was singing the praises of lever nuts until I got this tool bit. It will pre-twist the conductors like an experienced license electrician, making for a better more secure connection. Along with the drill bit for screwing on wire nuts, the most frustrating part for DIYers is now a breeze. Just make sure your push the wires in all the way, hold the wires together (I use pliers) about two inches from the end and keeping pressure to keep the wires in the tool, and don't press the drill trigger too long.

It can't twist-up wires as advertised, you would need a wire nut to get any use out of it, and there are better adapters for twisting wire nuts.

Did not work with 12 gauge wire at all. Guess only really weak wires work. In that case fingers are better.

Works well when all wires are butted up together. If one wire is off then it messes up the twist. Avoid using an impact driver as it will definitely over torque and jumble. Just use a drill on a low torque setting and it works perfectly. Puts wire nuts on as well.
