A great buy. Incredible instrument. Incredible value.
I have bought many guitars, some expensive nice beauties that spoke to me with their sound in guitar stores...but most have been in the sub $200 range. I like to have many guitars because I use many alternate tunings. This is the first sub $200 that came to me perfect. No setup needed. I have had many that took months of gentle fret, nut and bridge filing to get perfect. Bravo!I give it 7 out of five stars. The tonewoods that were used give it far better resonance than I can believe I'm hearing out of such an inexpensive instrument.Have a problem that it was made in China? Doesn't matter to me because it was obviously made with skill, care and love. I feel blessed.Thank you Ibanez and Amazon.

Great 3/4 Guitar!!
After a recommendation from my son’s guitar teacher, we got this Ibanez 3/4 guitar for him as a step up from a beginners 1/2 guitar. We are impressed and couldn’t be happier with the quality of this guitar at this price point! This thing sounds AMAZING and is the perfect size for him - he’s 8. I imagine he’ll have this for a few years before he’s ready for a full size.

After set up it's a great instrument
Out of the box this guitar was unplayable. The 4th fret needed significant leveling. There was no relief on the neck but this was addressed with truss rod adjustment. The sides of the frets were quite sharp and needed a file. After addressing those things I'm actually impressed with this instrument. It's not at all a toy and although it's short scale, it's big enough for an adult to play comfortably. It has very good projection for the size and generally good tone.As long as you expect it to need a setup, it's a solid purchase.

A perfect child’s beginning guitar
I bought this for my grandson for his birthday. He loves guitars. He was just turning eight and the previous guitar I had gotten him would not stay tuned. This one came almost perfectly tuned. Very well made. You cannot go wrong with an Ibanez! Very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good child’s starter guitar.

So-so quality. Go ahead and spend more on another
Pros: The size is ideal for my campfire sing-a-longs. Ot holds time well and produces a medium-rich sound with minimal rattle. (So no, it’s not Uber loud and it does rattle a bit). It’s beautiful. I love it, and will play it for years, if it holds up, but...Cons: It smells so strongly of glue. And I don’t know what wood product the body is composed of, but it’s soft, easily damaged, and feels like fake wood. It’s a very light guitar. The pegs and bridge are plastic. I dunno. They’re cheapy.Ultimately, I wish I had spent more for what I would consider a “real” 3/4 guitar (one made of normal wood...that smells like wood). I hoped Ibenez would surprise me. They used to only produce top quality instruments. This is not quality, but it will get me by.

Awesome for travel
Took a cross country trip with my adult daughter and got one of these for the trip. Love the tone and playability...surprisingly big sound for such a small guitar. Took a little truss rod adjustment to get the action right, but was easy to do and absolutely played great after. Ended up leaving it with my daughter. The next year I took another cross country trip and bought another one. Love having something like this for ling road trips, camping, travel, and back yard fires...the case it comes with is a bit of a joke, but... the point of this little guy (for me anyway) is to not worry too much if it gets cosmetic blemishes.

Poor quality
Expected more from the this brand. Overall the construction seemed poor and the sound of this instrument was off with significant buzzing. Issues included loose tuners, very sharp frets, and the nut/ saddle were not properly installed. The argument that you should expect a guitar at this price point to have a few flaws is a bit absurd. If a guitar manufacturer advertised that they make quality products, then that company should deliver at all prices. Ended up returning the guitar to the dealer and went with an Orangewood which seems to be a much better guitar and cost only $4 more than the Ibanez. Hope this helps.

This small body hits the mark!
This guitar is very nice. It is outstanding for the price. The open pore finish is good looking with a satin feel to it. The neck is smooth with no rough edges on the frets. The body is a very small 3/4 size. It projects its sound well, with a nice rounded back design. The only issue is that the tuning pegs could be higher quality, they stay in tune fine but are not real smooth when turning. I have owned over 30 guitars and for a small bodied acoustic this is on par with several more expensive brands. This is also the best travel guitar I have ever played. Perfect for sitting on the porch swing or around the camp fire.
