Exceeding Every Expectation
Love it. I bought it with the million-dollar DeConk base, and I am very pleased with their team performance. The navy 9 x 12 umbrella is sturdy and majestic. The construction is high quality and strong. The lights are a nice touch at night (get the option with the lights if it's available, worth the relatively modest price difference), and bright enough, with a few brightness level choices. You charge up something that looks like a remote control and magnetically snaps onto the underside of the umbrella. A charge lasts pretty long. With the southern California sun, I would typically get a few days out of a charge. In a very thoughtful customer-friendly choice, it comes with two of these magnetic power units, or whatever you call them. So it's easy to always have power, and it eliminates that common stress of looking for the one key, the one remote, and so on. There is peace of mind with having a backup, and somehow when I have a back up I don't lose things and when I don't I do. That's an odd but true rule, and it operates in your favor here.I forgot if there was a remote control If there was, I never used it. I pressed the buttons on the underside of the magnetic piece. They are large buttons and easy to see, although at 5'7" I had to stand on the water tank to reach it.Since I consider the umbrella and base as a team, I will include a a few positive comments about the base. I'm glad I bought the matching set. Most bases require some sand. There are probably competing models that also allow water only, but I don't recall seeing any. In any event, if you have to use sand, pay attention to the size of the filling hole. It can be very time-consuming getting sanded into even the larger holes. Not large enough for me. Also consider that sand generally comes in 50 pound bags. That's too heavy for me, too expensive because you'll need a fair number, and I myself to not have a vehicle. You may be richer and stronger and have a truck. In that case most of these concerns would not apply, Just getting the sand into the tiny hole, and maybe you could delegate that. This base has a nice large hole for filling it with water, And filling it with sand would be more manageable. Maybe there are two holes, I can't remember, but it was very easy to fill with a garden hose.I chose to fill the base with only water because I think it weighed 200 pounds with just the water, and I felt that was sufficient for my situation. The southern California home of my navy DeConk is not battered by winds on a frequent basis, but windy days do occur, sometimes several at a time, and this umbrella held firm.I typically cranked it down when it was windy or about to be, but sometimes the winds had already started, and it never faltered more than a minor sway at the top. The pole, if you will, is rectangular and so strong and so solid. Most of the time the winds here are nine or 10 mph on a windy day. But we had wins as strong as 22 mph recently, and this umbrella and base team stood firm. This umbrella-bass ensemble has exceeded my expectations in every way. I shopped carefully for this purchase, and I'm very happy with my selection. This should definitely be on your shortlist of patio umbrellas to consider.

High-quality cantilever umbrella.
Wow! How can such a durable and functional cantilever umbrella be sold at such a fair and reasonable price? I searched the market for this product. I was hesitant because of the price based on others I have seen. But the reviews were good. It was a little difficult to assemble, but you can figure it out if you take your time. Overall, the umbrella is very stable and easy to open and close. There are several different levels and settings and angles to provide relief from the sun at all times of day. Incredibly functional! The material appears very durable. You need a good strong base to hold it in place, it would not be stable without that, but with the base it is very stable. And with so many colors to choose from it’s definitely a great purchase!

Very nice , sturdy umbrella. Good value
Really nice umbrella , pretty quick to assemble. Looks nice , quality is solid. My only regret is that I didn’t realize my base from my old umbrella won’t fit this one and now I have to buy another base so I’ll spend more instead of buying them together upfront.

I have a good batting average on selecting mid-tier products. I struck out on this one.
To be fair, I saw some of the reviews with the broken crank piece but I was willing to overlook it since it wasn’t a majority, so I was wrong for taking that risk. At the price point and majority 5-star reviews, and I needed this in a pinch for my 8-years birthday party, I figured I wouldn’t be the unlucky one that got a lemon. With that being said, I put this up today, June 22, 2024 at 10:32am, and witnessed this broken on June 22, 2024 at 10:50am! Could you all at least give me the month or if you are smart, have a product that last beyond the return window?! A whopping 18 minutes!! Really? To add to injury, the umbrella tilts like slope, and doesn’t stay horizontal like in some of the images.Lastly, a little wind (I live in Chicago suburbs), collapsed this like a limp di@$&.Perhaps you may look elsewhere at this price point. I saw other brands online that include the base at this price; however, the shipping takes more time.I’d love to get a call or email from this vendor for a replace part or I’ll be return it.
