Perfect fit
I started muzzle training my rescue dog in August 2020 due his increasing dislike and reactivity towards a few dogs and people we often see on walks. To determine what muzzle was the most suitable and comfortable for him, we trialled 4 different types, using each one for a few months at a time, before finally coming to a desicion on which was best. The ones we tested were: the Ancol muzzle, Don Pare muzzle, Baskerville Ultra muzzle, and this one (the Baskerville Classic muzzle). The Baskerville Classic is definitely the best-fitting muzzle for my dog. He has the perfect amount of space for his nose (length and width-wise), plenty of pant space, and it’s an overall good fit for his head. I don’t have the anti-foraging part in as it’s not what he needs the muzzle for, and there’s more space for his nose without it.It’s a neutral colour and stands out well against his fur, meaning people can see it and understand that we’re keeping our distance for reasons other than social distancing. He’s mostly indifferent to the muzzle while on walks and isn’t too bothered about it being put on, though he will eagerly put his nose in if there’s a nice tidbit like cheese waiting inside. If you’re not sure if this muzzle will be a good fit for your dog, then I’d recommend checking out these other muzzles (all can be found on Amazon):- Ancol : a bit cheaper, has a slightly different shape- Don Pare : good for long-nosed dogs, lots of panting space- Baskerville Ultra : can be reshaped to some extent when submerged in hot waterThe Baskerville Classic also has a design for shorter-nosed breeds that may not fit the longer thinner version, they’re listed as size 12 - 15.

Good buy for money
I got this muzzle for my dog after he wore one at the vet's. I muzzle him when he is in a public place because hes not completely reliable with behaviour if he gets stressed. I include two pics to show the type of dog for the size 6 which is a perfect fit for him. Goes on very easily. I would pay a lot more for a better muzzle because his comfort is very important to me, but havent found one that is better.I introduced him to the muzzle my laying it on the table and putting treats in for a few days then I put it on him for a minute or two for a couple of days. After that he was fine. He can still do all of his scent gathering very well. He doesn't find it easy to drink water with it on but that doesn't bother me because he wouldnt have water at the times he wears it.

Good muzzle when fitted to allow panting.
Good muzzle. Make sure you've got your dogs open mouth pant muzzle diameter to ensure you get the correct size. This (and all basket) muzzles should be fitted so the dog can open their mouth pretty much fully. If you try and use this to pin their mouth shut they can probably break it but fitted properly it will work well. Probably not going to suit a broad headed or jowly breed like a staff or rottie as too narrow. Not the easiest to give treats through but doable with a bit of practise.

This one is fine, it's easy to put on
It took us a while to find the right size and right sort of muzzle for our rescue dog who unfortunately acts as if he wants to bite any dog he comes across. We only use this when we walk him. I tried a few others but they didn't fit as although he is mostly GSD he has a shorter nose, it seems, and a couple of the others almost covered his eyes. This one is fine, it's easy to put on, he can breathe, pang and bark perfectly happily with it on.I can't fault this muzzle, I just feel sorry that we have to use it. Baskerville muzzles seem good quality and comfortable - I saw others where the dog couldn't open their mouths properly. It is important to measure the dog's face accurately as the breed type reference is very approximate.

size 4 fit my Jack Ruseel well...
But he, on more then on occasion, managed to knock it off of his face and lost his claw in the process. I'm not sure if his claw was damaged to begin with, but the muzzle is in the bin covered in mud and blood. I'll be buying a muzzel with a chin strap.I liked that this muzzle allowed him to drink, pant and eat grass.

Dog can still eat through it
Great as a general muzzle as the dog can pant and even drink. Well made.We bought this as we have a very greedy dog with an incredibly sensitive tummy. Sadly she can still eat through it

It does the trick for me!
I have a cocker spaniel who likes to think she is the boss sometimes when it comes to towel drying her, She is really soft and as daft as a brush but does not like being towel dried, she goes off her head, to the point of growling. We weren't letting her rule the roost and returning home from a walk soaking to go and lie on my nice light green rug, so the muzzle I purchased and what a result. I put the muzzle on her and she stands still whilst I dry her and not a sound. She's like a different dog, so good. I don't need to use it for any other purpose as like I said she's a great dog. I have read other reviews whereby people use them as their dog scrounge for food whilst out on a walk, my does too but a fast walking pace and short lead does the trick for me, I personally would never muzzle her whilst out walking as she has been attacked three times now by a German Shepherd, an Husky and large Staffy, all whom were off lead. Perhaps these owners should buy one for their dogs!
