This was a waste of money. It doesn't get cold. It's just an overpriced fan.

I bought this for my finished basement that has NO ventilation at all. Although it stays a little cooler since it's underground, on scorching summer days, it gets warm. Since I have no way to vent a "real" AC unit, I bought this. First of all, it does NOT cool down a room. You won't walk into a room and feel coolness. If you are sitting and this thing is blowing RIGHT ON YOU, you'll be fine. If you are not directly in the path of the air it blows, you won't feel anything. I've put cold water in it, ice packs, everything. Its only slightly better than a fan. It blows cooler air than a fan. That's about all I can say.

Edit: My unit has begun leaking water from the somewhere in the upper portion.Going to try and work with the vendor, will keep you updated. Edit 2: The Vendor allowed me to return with a full refund. (I wound up buying the one with the Round Opening for moving air))*** This (class of coolers) are a great product that can act as a room cooler, or supplement the expensive types of Air Conditioners & is a good value.Here's the Caveats: Cold air sinks/hot air rises; so keep this thing on a stand/desk etc.You need to keep the water COLD; which requires a lot of work, you'll be rotating out the included 6 ice packs roughly every hour.(Pro Tip: Fill the Reservoir approximately 1/3 make sure "Min" level is met. Then add a tray of ice cubes. Repeat every 3-4 hours Until it eventually is full to its "Max" Level Markings.The Other Catch: Once your Relative Humidity indoors gets above 47-48%, the effectiveness drops off Substantially.(Pro Tip2: UNDERFILL the included plastic cold packs by 1 inch, so that when frozen they don't become swollen and possibly split.)Good Luck to you!

Cools air nicely. Not very cold, but nice quality.

Most of these things are garbage, being poor in the 90's and early 2000's things like this were all I could afford and they were always crap. Modern ones are generally just expensive crap made even worse than before. I have bought 2 of these and they work really well in the heat of the Southern California plane of death for being such small machines.

Used it for 1 week now and I'm still waiting for it to get cold I have a small 15$ fan that blows me cold air then this product even with all frozen ice 🧊 tubes being used I'm literally hotter with it on and rather just open the window for a hot breeze then to use the product will be returning it immediately after this review what a disappointment 😞
