This collar is thoughtfully designed and well made as are all of the Ruffwear products I have owned. Love the tag attachment as it has eliminated the noisy jingle you get from tags on other collars. The metal leash attachment is sturdy so no worries about it breaking. Buckle works perfectly - easy on and easy off. The ombre color looks very nice on my tri color bernedoodle.

I already had purchased a harness, collar, leash and life vest for my small pup and really am impressed with the durability and solid craftsmanship. Most importantly, the fit is spot on. I previously had been using another brand sold at Petsmart, Kong, and found that the fit was not quite right and the apparel seemed uncomfortable to my dog. What really changed my mind from using Kong to Ruffwear was in the life vest. I love to kayak and taking my furry friend is a must. The Kong vest had zero support under the belly whereas the Ruffwear has support from the back, down the sides (and most importantly for the stability of my pup) underneath the belly. Ruffwear has great features on the harnesses where the dog ID tag is attached and can be hidden in a well marked compartment at the neck. The collars have a wonderful design where a soft rubber silencer hangs between the dog ID tag and rabies tag so there is not any noise from the collar on walks. My favorite is the knot-a-leash because when I need a shorter leash I have only to tie the leash in the middle to make it shorter. There is an attachment on the handle for a doggie poop bag dispenser. As a Ruffwear consumer for the past 3 years - I am incredibly happy with their line of products and am now a customer for life. I have 2 more dogs (bigger) and just purchased this for them. Again, can't stress the fit is spot on and makes my walks with my 3 pups super smooth. Thank you Ruffwear!

This is our 2nd collar from Ruffwear. The previous one was on my Rottweiler 7 years. It wasn’t worn but I just wanted a diff color. Thank you to a company for making a good product.

The collar is strong. I use on a Newfoundland but he is very docile, It is narrower than the photo suggests. Total width is 1" wide. With the collar opening up to a dog with a 25" neck I feel the collar needs to be at least 1 1/2" wide.

Took us a while to find a good collar for our new rescues. Very pleased with the looks and function of these collars. We do use them with a gentle choker-type collar when taking a walk, as we’re afraid they would slip off the heads of our dogs, having to be large around their necks, but they both have less-than large skulls. Unfortunately, during roughhousing, our narrow-muzzled dog, think “fox”, got his tooth stuck in the clasp of our other dog’s buckle, impossible to get that tooth out or open the clasp to release, as his tooth was blocking the complete opening. Our dog was choking and we had to use scissors super carefully to cut the collar off to release them. Probably never happen again but not taking chances. We’re keeping the collar on our narrow-mouthed dog and finding a new collar with no buckle for our other dog. Perhaps a choker chain that has larger loops in case a tooth should go in. It would be easier for his tooth to come back out.

I love this ruff wear collar, it’s high quality and lightweight and the locking snap is robust. Just make sure you hear it click together. The dog seems more than happy with it. The securing point for a lead is super strong and will stand up to some serious pulling from an excited dog. My dog loves anything muddy and charging through undergrowth and woodland. The collar has been through it all and after a wash looks as good as new. It is also big enough to take a Tractive tracker. It’s worth every penny! I was so pleased I have also invested in a ruff wear harness!
