Couldn't play volleyball without them
I wear these sand socks for playing sand volleyball. I actually hate wearing them, and would prefer to play barefoot, but doing anything barefoot on sand is a major trigger for my plantar fasciitis. So I wear a tight compression sleeve over each foot to support the arches, and then I slip these sand socks over for added protection, support, and grip. (I've also inserted a supportive shoe insole at times, when I need even more arch support.) Works great, and allows me to continue playing my favorite sport.I play every week from April to October, and one pair of these sand socks seems to get me through the whole season, and sometimes part of the next. Considering what a beating they take against the sand, I'm pretty happy with that. And they've held up better than some other brands I've used in the past. The only weak point seems to be the velcro strap, which isn't sewn on the best.

I truly wanted to love these, but there is a significant seam along the toes which is abrasive. Otherwise, they are comfortable and for sand/water shoes, they are relatively cute. Personally, we spend long hours walking on the sand and in the water; we may be in the water for several hours daily (searching for seashells) with both rocky and sandy surfaces. For other needs, these may be fine, but when I wore them in the water and they were wet for several hours, the seam caused blisters on my toes. This led to the need for applying bandaids and moleskin every morning before putting on the Seasnug. I was hoping that they would be so comfortable that I would buy other colors, but it just didn't suit the purpose for shelling. They may be fine for swimming and walking across hot sand; they just didn't work out for shelling. Love the colors, don't like the seam.

Surprisingly great for my big feet
After scouring through Amazon for hours (no joke), I selected these. It seems like the others ones, despite having sizes like "3XL" are still not large enough for my slightly-wider size 13 (mens) feet. I got these because I just had a little unplanned surgery on my foot just before heading to the Caribbean and did not want to get sand in the area. It was fine to get it submerged--but I needed it to be free of sand. When I received it and tried it on, I was impressed that the largest size here could actually contain my high-volume foot AND it was easy to put on and around the wound. After snorkeling along the shore for hours, it did not let any sand in and it was comfortable. It also seemed to hold up very well to walking on rough and rocky shores--but don't think it cushions anything--you'll feel every rock edge, but at least it won't cut a hole in it.

The product fit good..
The product fit good....I bought a size down...I am a man that wears a 9 1/2 shoe...sometimes 10...and got the 'M' size [8-9]...The colors and design are quite nice and I received many inquiries...The sole use and reason of purchase...is for sand volleyball.I use to wear hard-soled beach shoes and while those were nice...the ones I purchased fell apart after a season [may-oct] of bi-weekly use...and I wanted to try a different method/angle to satisfy my needs.I was intrigued by the concept of a flexible sole found on sand socks...as I am able to have a more 'gripping' foot experience...control...during play. The reason for 3 stars...there is noticeable wear after only 5 weeks of bi-week useage...this wear is on the ball of my right foot...the first 'layer' is worn through and I get the feeling...one more week and the hole will be completely through. At this rate...I need 4 pairs of socks each season...I could buy 1 really nice pair of Jawpaws or possibly 5fingers...and they would last more than a season too.

Very nice fit (even for wider foot) - but aren't hardy enough
I'm updating my review after several months of usage. I purchased 2 pairs and have put each of them through about 20 wearings that have averages an hour each. The "sole" has worn through on both pairs and the top has faded on one pair, pilled on the same and come apart at the seam above the heel cup on the other even though I've rinsed them of salt water after each wearing. Please note that there is a 200m walk from my house to the beach on brick paving that may have accelerated the wear on the sole; I don't believe this undermines my downgrade but I wanted to mention it as a potential limiting factor.

Good for the price
I wear these for sand volleyball, and up until recently I wore these all the time. I noticed that you must wash them after every wear, or else they'll get stiff and crusty. And they don't stay up on my leg so I am pulling them up frequently. When they are on, they do all that they are supposed to- Keep feet warm, block the hot sand, and hold up pretty well in wet conditions. For the price they're worth a buy, but I did move on to purchase a nicer pair or sand socks that I am now wearing over these ones.

Love them for cold sand volleyball!
I play sand volleyball April - September.... in Nebraska... so needless to say the sand is really cold in the beginning of the season and sometimes the whole season you never really know. But I've worn these the last two weeks and they have helped tremendously to keep my feet warm! I even wear an extra pair of socks inside to keep my feet warmer longer. At the end of the night I can still feel my whole foot (it's a miracle), however, toes do get slightly cold at the end of the night as they aren't made to keep your feet dry. Overall this has been the best investment I've made and even had other players on my team buy them- shout out to Christie if she reads this- Sand socks rock!!

Can't say enough good things about these socks
Wow! At a friend's recommendation, I bought a couple pairs of SeaSnugs to wear under my dive boots for SCUBA. The soles grip enough to keep the boots comfortably in place for an entire day's worth of diving. The socks conform nicely to my feet to stay in place. Plus, they are great to walk on before/after the boots go on/off. The socks are high enough to stick out the top of the boot, and the Velcro keeps them up. I wear these for every dive and simply toss them in the cold wash with the bathing suits to clean them up. Excellent product!

worked well but still got sand in and felt like the soles would not hold up to walking down the the beach. Just used them on the beach and while snorkeling. Did prevent the jellyfish swarm from stinging my ankles..
