It does what I needed which was to cool off my house.

Swamp cooler
I dislike the swamp cooler it doesn't get very coldThe ice packs don't stay frozen for very long. And you have to add water thru the top of the unit instead of the side. In the instructions it doesn't tell you where to pour the water at. I will never never buy this brand again and beware check the bottom of your unit Ithis makes my second unit my last one had a hole in it.
