The media could not be loaded.  I have a nice, tall tripod that came with the typical, clamping screw-on attachment for holding a phone steady. This MagSafe adapater is so much handier.

My wife has a tripod with an old clamp style mount that constantly gets loose or has to be constantly be adjusted depending on what iPhone is being placed in the clamp.I advised her there are MagSafe style mounts that can be attached to her tripod.She likes the ability to just swap her or her families iPhones when taking photos.I even was able to use my iPhone XR with a metal ring to use the tripod.The connection of the magnets are strong and I was able to shake the tripod without the phone falling off.The ball head does not have much in terms of angle, but the tripod we are using has vertical tilt, so it's not an issue to get the prefect angle.The included rings are just okay, so would recommend an alternate metal ring to use for non-MagSafe devices.

The magnet on this MagSafe mount is the strongest one I've tried. You definitely need to apply a side sliding pressure to get the magnet to disengage. It's a nice sturdy click on, and you're ready to go. The iPhone stays steady. There's a ball mount that allows the iPhone to turn and tilt. There is a tension adjustment to set it stiff enough to only allow the iPhone to move when you want it.It fits all the Tripods and camera mount screws I tried. This really solves a big problem I have with the spring type clips that can be a bother to grab the iPhone with one hand. I can just walk up and the MagSafe quick grabs and holds tightly, and I only need to use one hand. I don't have to fiddle with trying to hold a spring clamp open in one hand while shoving the phone in with the other hand. This clamp makes holding the iPhone instant and simple!Nice sturdy build and quality feel. I can highly recommend this tripod mount.

0 out of 5. This is the second mag type thing I tried to buy and both were horribly cheap and didn’t work. This doesn’t hold the phone, and the magnets came chipping and shedding and separated. So so bad.

Magsafe for mounting phones should be the norm, even if it means sticking the included metal ring to an older phone without the circle of magnets. Those spring-loaded clamps are all obsolete with their extra hinges and unwieldily springs. I am now considering sewing one of the spare metal rings into my bag as a quick attachment while I'm out. My biggest wish for this specific design in a wider base or at least a washer i can add into the attachemtn to broaden the contact patch. My particular tripod attachment has an empty space without the padding near the screw.
