Good quality but bezel needs adjustment to fit my XTRONS android head unit
This is a good quality item, but 1. unfortunately my XTRONS Android 10 double-DIN head unit would not fit if I installed both the provided side fitting plates. For my particular installation, this was not too much of a problem, as I was able to pack the inside of the cage to give an interference fit. 2. I had to adjust the internal edge of the provided bezel, as it was about 2mm too small internally to go around my XTRONS Android head unit. If these fitting compatibility issues had arisen with a different maker/supplier, I might not be surprised, but it was surprising and disappointing that XTRONS items did not fit each other.

Unit doesn't come with any instructions, nor do the photos on the amazon listing really explain in. No instructions came in the box either. Their own website offers a User Guide, but it just links to their main website instead of any download. A+ XTRONS. The trim ring is sorta crap, and has weak, flimsy snap in toggles, and no real indication if they should be snapped between the cage and the radio, or the cage and the dash. Only reason it's getting 4 stars because once It was strapped in, it was in solid and hard to remove from the front. Pushing from the back however can overpower the spring clips and pop the radio out of the cage. But when you're installing an aftermarket radio, better to have a metal cage securing it than a piece of shit plastic mounting kit like METRA's plastic mounting kits. The lips on the cage itself obscure the normal snap-in spaces of the dash, but that can be fixed with a Dremel.

Worked like a charm to replace the radio in my motorhome. As others had said, the trim ring was pretty much useless and two of the tabs broke off almost immediately, but the screen on the radio covers it so you can't see where the trim ring would've been.

Basically, the product is good. It fits and supports my stereo well, but materials are rather cheap and the trim ring is quite flimsy and doesn't attach to much of anything unless the cut-out dimensions are almost perfect. My biggest complaint, though, is that there was absolutely no instructions. The only insight for installation was a very low res photo from the product add page. I spent the better part of 2 hours trying to configure/install it! You would think that a company that invests in the engineering and manufacturing would spend a few dollars to instruct buyers how to best install it. So, if you are considering this product, you should ask yourself how good are you DIY skills and patience.

Yet another junk product...while the trim ring's opening size fits nicely, its retention tabs are position in moronic fashion: between the basket/cage and the dashboard! Plus, the aforementioned cage is dimensionally wrong; it is too short, and too wide...by about 3mm in width, and 4mm in height. Bogus. Maybe if I use THIS trim ring on that other crappy kit with a proper-fitting cage...?!? Pffft.
