All our sea glass has been hand-collected from beaches in the north-east of England. It is genuine sea glass that has been eroded into its current shape and size over many years by the tide. At Mermaid Whispers we do not believe fake, man-made sea glass has the same natural beauty as surf-formed sea glass and therefore we do not tumble any of our glass at home. The appearance of each piece of glass is entirely down to the effect of the waves against the sea bed. Any marks on the glass are part of its natural charm and evidence that the sea glass is indeed genuine.
