The Buffett Way works
Fantastic book. It even goes into GAAP, Generally Accepted Account Principles, but not too deep. I was surprised by an extended discussion of intangible v. tangible investments and how those are captured on the income and balance sheets respectively. I don't think this discussion was in the original 1984 version of the book.Intangibles, things like software and R&D, are captured on the income statement. Tangibles, stuff like factory machinery, is captured on the balance sheet and then expensed a certain percentage each year. Why is this important? Most tech companies are extremely intangible heavy. You're going to be finding a lot of what they spend their money on (software and R&D), on the income statement. But what if it's Tesla? They dump billions into intangibles and tangibles, so you have to scrutinize both sheets. The book went over two specific models for valuing companies, but didn't call them out by name. One is the Gordon Growth Model and the other valuation model is the Zero Growth model. The application of these, along with DCF, to the purchases of Coca Cola, the Washington Post, and several others was eye-opening and educational.

Great lessons from the world's greatest investor
I read the original edition about 27 years ago and I truly liked this book! When I came across this 30th anniversary edition, I immediately purchased it to update myself, as there have been so many developments and changes over the intervening years. Although Mr. Buffett's investment tenets are timeless, this latest edition is basically a new book with the old chapters in the first edition revamped. Others like me who have read the first edition can seriously consider picking up this latest edition.

Great book
Author has really distilled Warren's simple yet difficult to execute concepts down very well and in a orderly coherent format.Walks you through multiple of his investments, and if Warren himself liked the book then you know it's good.
