My dad has been looking for a battery for his freaky saw for god knows how long. No matter what we found it would fit perfectly and had some issues. These batteries are just like the original that came with the desalt saw he has which is at least 10-15 years old. The original battery starting having issues and since I wasn’t able to find a correct replacement he hasn’t been using his saw for quite some time now. We were confused how the battery can die so easily so we thought maybe the charger was having issues but after ordering these replacement batteries we realized the charger works fine and the batteries died and were not keeping charge. The great part is this comes with 2 batteries which last forever. He charged them both and when one runs out of battery when he is working he just replaces it with the other and charges the first one. The price was decent for us as well since it comes with two and it’s a lot more expensive to replace a saw then just the battery. Super fast shipping!

Edit: After three months and only a few uses and charge cycles (less than ten times) one of the two batteries has degraded to the point that it only lasts for about 30 seconds on a reciprocating saw or about ten drywall screws on the driver. The other battery is still good however they definitely do not pack the punch or runtime of the original dewalt 18v xrp batteries. They are more similar in power and runtime to the the small case standard 18v batteries.Initial observations, like others have said, they do fit a little snug compared to the oem batteries. No big deal though. Both batteries charged fine on my chargers, however one battery did not work in any tools. It did work if you partially removed the battery. I believe the battery contacts were covered in a rust inhibitor to make the trip from overseas. I cleaned the contacts with a wire brush and alcohol…rubbing alcohol for the contacts and cold beer for me. Batteries work fine now. They were too shiny so I swapped the internals to my old batteries and now they are just like my favorite old pair of jeans. Time will tell on longevity but for the price I’m sure I’ll be happy.

Good value and quality

These batteries only supply a little power to my tools. It could be because of the batteries, or the charger I bought on Amazon to go with it, this one: "Lilocaja DC9310 18V XRP Battery Charger Replacement for Dewalt 18V Battery Charger DW9116 Compatible with Dewalt 7.2V-18V XRP NiCD/NiMH Battery DC9098 DC9096 DC9091 DW9072(Not for Any Li-ion Battery)" When a battery is depleted an no longer runs the tool I'm using it on, I put it in the charger, and in a very short time, like 15 minutes, the charger's lights suggest it has been fully charged. But the battery only weakly powers the tool, before it again is quickly depleted. So I don't know whether the fault is with the charger or the battery. Unfortunately, I waited too long to determine that something was wrong, and the return window for both items has closed. Very disappointing. I would recommend steering clear of both these batteries an that charger.

Save money. Works great

These don’t last very long at all. They do not work like the 18v Dewalt batteries. I cannot afford to buy all new 20v tools. I guess I will keep looking for the Dewalt 18v batteries
