โญ๏ธ โHighโQuality, Sturdy, and Built Like a Beast โ I Canโt Move It Alone!โ โญ๏ธ
Weโve had this PawHut cage for over a month now, and it has been amazing. The build quality is genuinely impressive โ highโquality, sturdy, and heavier than it looks. Once itโs set up, I cannot move it by myself at all, which honestly speaks to how solid it is. The 9โ deep tempered glass bottom is one of my favorite features. I love love how clean it looks and how well it contains bedding. Even though my teddy bear Syrian is unique and prefers climbing over burrowing, the deep base still gives her plenty of room and keeps everything neat. I attached a video of her going absolutely wild exploring the setup right after a deep, deep cleaning, and you can see how much she enjoys the vertical space and multiple tiers. Just a headsโup: the cage only opens in the front and on the top, and the bottom tray does not slide out. Because itโs so large and heavy, cleaning requires partially disassembling the cage to remove the base. Itโs definitely not a quick task, but itโs manageable if you plan for it. The space, sturdiness, and overall design make this a standout habitat, and my Syrian has been thriving with all the room to climb and explore.

Fantastic home for our rats!
Amazing design, and great build quality. Lots of features that are not listed in the description. We've had dozens of pet rats and multiple cages and this is by far our favorite. The plastic components are not an issue for me seeing as though I do not feel that they will be the targets of chewing for them. And if they are chewed on, they will have minimal effect on the Integrity of the cage. The wheel is a surprise. I expected it to be a low quality exercisewheel, in fact it is high quality and silenced. The thoughtfulness in the design really impresses me because the metal platforms and metal ramps will be incredibly easy to clean. The walls literally slide in and out of their aluminum tracks if I needed to take it apart and clean those as well. The tension clips that hold fast to the tank are extremely user friendly and safe and secure from the rats messing with. This makes the glass tank portion very accessible and easy to vacuum out and clean. The built-in foam pad on the exterior bottom side of the tank dampens any unwanted sound and also adds a minor layer of protection from any drops on the inside. The Basin is so deep that I was able to put 4 inches of shavings and paper shreds for them to borrow in. In every way, I feel that the value of this home matches it's well thought out and designe and functionality.

Huge hamster mansion, good value and mostly well made features, but could use a little improvement.
Our large fancy bear Syrian hamster girl Chloe was bored in her two tier home and chewed through the corner of the plastic bin at the bottom so we bought this new supposed chew proof behemoth in the hopes she wouldnโt be bored, and wouldnโt be able to escape in the wee hours of the night again. We just assembled it, and it was pretty easy to assemble, however the instructions have some minor errors. Assembly is easier with two people. The wheel is BIG. It is big enough for a smaller rat and definitely too big for a dwarf hamster, and is super smooth spinning and silent. She loves it already! The platforms, ramps, clips, and bowl are all heavy duty plastic that I donโt think sheโll be chewing but I will update this review after the first cleaning, and after a few weeks of use. Packing and packaging was very sturdy and kept the glass bottom and metal side/pieces safe and secure. And now why I did not give five stars - the water bottle is very small and the bracket it came with is useless. Once you put water in it the tension clip canโt hold the weight of the bottle and the clip has no threading in the hole to be able to tighten the clip to the cage to keep it from falling. Make sure to get your own water bottle for this cage. The little hamster shaped hide is very cute, but kinda flimsy. The eyes and ears snap in with protruding pegs to the inside of the hide. I think she may decide to chew on it, or could get her toe caught in the seam across the middle that wouldnโt fully seat. She likes getting in and out of it so far, but we will see how it holds upโฆ The doors close by tension of the metal bars against each other. Locking clips would have been preferred and it remains to be seen if she can figure out that they arenโt that hard to open. I would be concerned that a rat or larger small animal in this pen would be able to open them. I may come up with my own way to lock them. Overall I still feel it was a good value for the price and my price of mind, but it could be approved upon. We didnโt put the platforms in exactly as the instructions pictured, and added a second wheel, and our own water bottle if you view the video.

Perfect! gerbies got all the room now :)
this cage is perfect!!! just right for two gerbils! i will say though the water bottle definitely a fail, fell right out of its holder, couldn't hold the weight of the water. the one we have fits perfect in the cage. MAKE SURE you put something under the bottom ramp though being it is too steep for them to climb up to the first platform. other than those two issues this cage is great!!! i got it in the house by myself and set it up myself as well. yes its a little heavy but you can definitely slide it across the floor and once you get everything out its not too heavy at all. DO ASSEMBLE IN THE SPACE YOU PLAN ON PUTTING IT. ITS NOT HEAVY WHEN IN PIECES. the tank bottom is one piece. the cage is together as well and just folded until assembly, opens up like a flower. also one door goes on top :) enjoy your new cage!!!!

Quality cage. Large. Instructions not so great.
This cage is pretty big, well built. My only real complaint is that the instructions that come with it are okay, but not very good and absolutely useless when it comes to the giant wheel, however if you sit back and breathe a little take a look at it, you can figure it out. Still get 5 stars in my book.

Easy to clean gerbil mansion
We fostered two gerbils over the holidays through our local animal rescue. They were sent to us in a 10 gallon aquarium which is way too small for gerbils but itโs all the rescue had, which is understandable, as they only have what they receive in donations. We decided to adopt them and knew weโd need to upgrade their cage asap. I saw this online and read reviews and was unsure as to whether I should get it or not. Iโm glad I took the chance and ordered it! It's very spacious and I love that the bottom is a little deeper so that we can put extra bedding in for the gerbils to burrow. I was not the one to assemble it, but I am the one who takes it apart to clean it and it is pretty easy to get the top(wire part) off and back on to clean out the glass bottom. The bottom level holds all of their bedding, as well as their house and a little platform which holds their sand bath. The second level is large enough to hold an 11 inch wheel which is the minimum size that a gerbil should have. On the top level, we have their water bottle, bathroom container and a food bowl for when they get fresh food. They love running up and down all of the levels and I think theyโre very happy. I also like that theyโre two doors in different locations on the cage so that it makes it easy to do my daily cleaning. I usually have to wipe off the platforms every day because they like to go to the bathroom on them. I think this cage is a great home for gerbils and would even work well for a hamster. Overall weโre very happy with it and definitely glad we bought it!

Good, solid cage
Good, solid cage. I like the deep glass section. My hamster has plenty of room to burrow. The wheel is large enough that itโs safe for Syrian hamsters and itโs quiet. Itโs not a flimsy wheel. My hamster has never found a way to escape. Large enough that thereโs plenty of places for the hamster to explore. It is a bit heavy, so my 12 yr old son does need some assistance with lifting the metal section off the glass section when itโs time to clean the cage. Thatโs not a big deal though. If it werenโt heavy then people would complain that itโs poor quality. Our hamster does climb the wire cage, but she never gets stuck. She always makes her way down. When she does climb the cage or messes with the metal ramps it can get a bit noisy in the middle of the night. With all the metal clanging together. It may be something you get used to after a while, but we did have to move the cage out of my sonโs bedroom. It kept waking him up. Overall, Iโm glad we got it. Good cage. We had another spot we could put the cage to help with the noise factor.

The 31" cage is good; the 23.5" cage is not.
I RECOMMEND THE 31" cage, but NOT the 23.5" CAGE: ------------- The 31" cage / PROs: It's big. Very big. The glass bottom part is good for gerbils because they dig and could also work for hamsters who tend to toss paper and whatnot out of the cage. It's got 2 levels and 2 ramps. The glass is easy to clean and can't be chewed through like plastic. It's tall enough that I could easily put in an 11" wheel and the wheel doesn't make the cage shake. You can get a lot of stuff and aspen shavings and shredded paper in this thing. Did I mention it's big? The 31" cage / CONs: It's heavy. I can't lift it by myself. If you're ready to assemble it, do it where you're going to house your pet. The top is not flimsy (like folks on Amazon UK said), but it's hard to get it to snap on to the bottom using the little clips. I'm worried that my gerbil will chew the clips. I replaced most of them with zip ties. The ramps, levels, and clips are all plastic, so again, I'm worried they'll get chewed. It's hard to disassemble to clean. Another thing--I'm in the midwest and because it's so heavy, I will have to move my pets to a travel cage to go into the basement for tornado alerts. I know. It's a midwest thing. I recommend this 31" cage for gerbils and hamsters. ------------- The 23.5" cage / PROs: I bought two of these smaller cages for juvenile (young) gerbils. They are easier to lift, but still have a glass basin that is as deep as the larger 31" cage. The doors are big enough and the cage wiring and glass basin feel strong. The shelves are made of metal which is better for pets that chew. The 23.5" cage / CONs: They made the ladders and shelves out of metal. When I was first installing them, I found it was nearly impossible to install the metal shelves. Worse yet, the ladders are made of wiring set on top of a metal base. When I looked at them closely, I found that the wires were not attached to the metal ladder throughout--this means there are visible spaces where a pet's toe can be caught. This is very, very dangerous for hamsters and gerbils. I was pretty alarmed. I thought about trying to replace these ladders with something else that is safe, but don't have the materials or time to try and fix a cage that came at this price. ------------- I ended up returning both 23.5" cages which is a real shame. In the end, I can recommend the 31" cage, but not the 23.5" cage.

Good build and size
Good sturdy cage for my hamster with three levels and is a good size cage for him. Itโs easy to build and just as easy to take apart and clean. My only suggestion would be get a bigger wheel because the one that come with it was too small.

Great cage for our hamster
Good quality, sturdy and great size for our hamster. The wheel and house are poor quality and look and feel cheap - but most people would buy the bits they want for inside the cage seperate anyway. I would recommend the cage , 100% worth the money!!

Very good glass bottom but buy a decent wheel like ours.
Excellent hamster cafe for our Syrian. Nice deep glass bottom excellent quality. Top is not so bad. My bars are slightly bent hence the 4 stars. The wheel is useless and the plastic house but i prefer quality items for all my pets. So i used what i already had. Not finished the cage yet as its late. I would definitely say its worth the money.
