The next generation of robot vaccums/moppers take a giant leap forward
Wow, what a difference a few years can make! I purchased the Shinebot in early 2022, at a time when robot moppers were still in their infancy. I was willing to put up with the streaks, the mess of cleaning them up, and their finnicky operation ("Please check the universal wheel," the Shinbot would bark at me incessantly) because I loved the idea of someone doing the mopping for me. It's remarkable that, even in 2025, I had nursed the Shinebot along and it was still mopping on occasion, although I had increasingly relied on hand mopping because "Sloppy" (our affectionate nickname for it) just didn't do a good job of mopping. When I read about the new generation of dual vacuuming/moppng robots, I grew excited. Reviews were saying that these machines actually did a great job of mopping, even getting into corners. Could this really be true? Well folks, I'm here to tell you that "yes, it is true--believe it!" There are three key advantages of the Narwal over my old Shinebot: 1. Easy upkeep. The Shinebot docks to its station periodically to clean itself (you read that right!), rinsing the mops with hot water that is promptly sucked into a dirty water bin and refreshing its clean water tank from the station's large refillable bin. It even uses hot air to deep clean and dry its mop at night! So far, all I've had to do is empty the dirty water bin and fill the clean water/cleaning solution bin every week or two. Can this be real? 2. Mopping & vacuuming that rival that of a conscientous human. My partner is deeply skeptical or robots of any kind, but when she saw the results and admitted that "it may do a better job than I could," I knew we were on to something. Unlike Shinebot, Narwal does not leave streaks--only an immaculate floor that one might consider eating off of. This is due in part to the fact that it cleans with113 degree F water, which cuts through grease. It is also capable of sensing dirt and scrubbing it, using downward pressure and a rapid spin rate to remove spots. While it can't clean every stubborn spot or get into every nook and cranny, it does a great job, especially if you're willing to pick up everything that might impede it. 3. Lidar mapping leads to precise cleaning, even on a schedule. Narwal will map out your home as its first mission. You'll see the map being drawn as it moves around your house. After naming the rooms and making any necessary corrections, you can command Narwal to clean any room or group of rooms at any time. For those who want Narwal to do the work regularly, you can set up a cleaning schedule, perhaps commanding Narwal to clean at night so it doesn't disrupt your daytime activities. This goes well beyond Shinebot; I love it! 4. Oh yeah, it vaccums too. Narwal is capable of vacuuming "just in time" as it mops, or you can tell it to got out on separate vaccuming and mopping missions if you want a deeper clean. The vacuuming is great; it has a HEPA filter and empties its dustbin into the docking station using powerful suction. You only need to change the station's vacuum bag periodcially. Overall, for me, this robot is worth every penny. It has improved the quality of my life.

Oh wow. A robot that actually works!
Ok, I've had this one for a week. So I'll update in a couple months if things change. But.... This is awesome. I owned a Roomva iRobot for the last two years. The kicker with them was when I needed customer service over a dust bin in the unit, and i was 1 week out of warranty/return for it because I bought it, put it aside until I really needed it, and when I finally instaled it, found it to be the wrong item. They told me to buy a new one of the right one and to bug off otherwise. iRobot's cleaning power was also substandard, mine being a pet vac, that left pet hair all over the corners of the room. So, I've had 2 years experience with a robot vac. The Narwal cleans most excellently. Once in a while a piece of hair will get stuck in the back wheel and come off when it is travelling back and forth, but otherwise, perfect. The robot auto-detects floor type, changing from mopping to not (and raising the mops) when moving to a carpet. Setting room areas and types is very simple. It has settings for tile, hardwood and carpet, as well as general (it figures it out). You can set no-go zones very easily. You can even define a room as a pass-thru to get from one room to another that you are mopping, but the room in middle you don't want dealt with. It detects obstacles so well. One time my son was in its way as it was on it's way to a room to clean and he wasn't going to move. It stopped about 9-12 inches away from him, then took a path around him. The Roomba would always be bumping into walls and furnature (softly, but still) to determine the extent of a room, but he Narwall has built-in optics and can detect obstacles before it hits them. So it doesn't bump the walls and furnature, but gets right up close to vacuum or mop the edges with accuracy. And even here, when it mops at the edges of a wall, it has a mode to move, swivel, move so that the mop brushes get right up the edge and clean very, very well. It also detects if an area is extra dirty, for which it will mop that area/room 2x, 3x even 4x (if this is the fist time for a really dirty area -- say a bathroom or laundry). After it mops so many square feet, or after a room (settable featured) the Narwal will go back and wash the mop heads to avoid cross-contamination of the dirt (very useful if coming from a bathroom, if you know what I mean). When complete, it cleans its mops and dries them. Sound can be set to quiet (takes longer) or strong (quicker, but louder) -- and at any level is not all that loud (compared to the Roomba emptying its dirt bin every 10 minutes with a 99 db vacuum!!). Yes, this is a $1,000 unit, and I had to think a few times before spending that much. But it is worth every penny. My only work is in keeping the dirty water disposed of, and the clean water bin full. (If you set the robot on room mode -- washing mop heads by room -- then it isn't that bad; leave it by area (smaller) and you will need to be present as the water likely will run out in the middle of the total task). So, that's my 1 week estimate. I'll come back in a few months to confirm or deny my initial findings. Right now: I love this thing!!

Update 12/2024 - Errors Smartest robot vacuum ever
Update 4/2026 Biggest piece of junk for $1300. It doesn't run for 30 seconds without errors at this point. Customer Service wants $80 to ship it back for repair/part replacement To Be Determined. Just not worth it. Update 12/2024 Overtime this thing has become a pest. I continually get "Side Brush Errors" when I have replaced brushes and cleaned it thoroughly. The after sales support wants me to send the entire thing back, but this is not an easy thing to package up (hold onto your packaging if you take the plunge, folks) Sometimes it will work great, other times, it works for about 4 minutes before I have to recall it to the base. There is no rhyme or reason as to why some passes are successful. Had really high hopes for this but it's calling short only a few months in. Original Post: Took the plunge and bought this for prime day. My husband rolled his eyes at our 5th iteration of a robot vacuum but I had high hopes; and she’s delivered! The box was huge and the base is pretty large as well, but considering it holds the clean and dirty water containers, I guess it has to be. Set up was easy. Had some user error app issues in the beginning getting it set up on the network. I was selecting the wrong model to pair and it wasn’t working. Once I double checked and selected the correct one, set up was easy. After letting her charge overnight, I set it out to do its mapping. I was freaking amazed at how smart it was. Traversed gently over the whole house and made a pretty freaking accurate mapping of the floor plan. Even was able to demarcate rugs from the tile/wood floors all on its own. Once the mapping was done I used the options to split the map into sections so I’d be able to have it clean certain areas/rooms if I wanted. The first test was a full vacuum and it sure took its time. It’s approx 1100 sq ft but it took hours. Looking at the map, it was going over certain areas many times. We have a lab who is in his “shed like crazy” stage. Even though I’d vacuum almost daily, we still would have a lot of hair soon after. The vacuum did a great job. The next day I had it do a vacuum then mop session in just one area of the house that was tile floor. Wanted to see how much water it left behind before letting it wild on the hardwood. But the tile floor was done surprisingly well and there was never puddles of water left behind. Next test was vacuum THEN mop of whole area. This took forever. Almost 6.5 hours when it eventually gave up. That’s okay. As it was doing each of the previous jobs it would refine the map even more. Now I have it set to vacuum and mop simultaneously every weekday. It will do all the non-carpeted areas during this cycle which is pretty much all of it. During the process it will shout from the hill tops repeatedly and and quite a volume when you need to replace the clean water. Only once has it gotten stuck on a cord, which older vacuums seemed to just gravitate to them and get stuck. Battery life is decent. If it does a super deep clean (all on its own it decides how much cleaning an area needs), it may need to recharge mid-session. And I almost always have to replace the water at least once during the process. But I couldn’t be happier. Definitely was worth the price and has been doing a fantastic job. Despite daily cleanings and aforementioned hairy dog, the one small vacuum bag isn’t even filled yet. I’ve ordered more but also have the reusable canister it came with as a fallback should I need it. I love checking the app and seeing the map lines of where it cleaned. Gives an update on how much is done, what areas it focused on and which areas still need to be cleaned. I love a good user interface.

If you're going to splurge, go for the Best!
We decided to go ahead and splurge on a robotic vacuum and mop cleaner. We chose the Narwal Flow. It is a great choice and we feel that it is the best on the market. We did a lot of research, and we first eliminated the models that had the mopping feature with the two-disc pads and also the vibrating pads units as well. The just seem to push the dirt around. We wanted the continuous cleaning roller mop models. The Narwal Flow incorporated this feature but did it even better. They use, for lack of a better way to describe it, a conveyor flat mop approach. See the literature for a better description and pictures. It really does the job and it go back to the station to reclean the mop head whenever it senses that it is getting too dirty. So you always have a clean mop head. The app is not bad and can do everything you need this robot to do. Clean the whole house, clean a room or rooms, or clean zones that you create in the app. after is maps out your home. Tip.... the mapping feature, when you first do it, try get everything off the floors other than the furniture, so that it creates a clean map of your home. You can always split rooms, combine rooms, put in zones, or let it go and clean the entire house. I was in such a hurry that it didn't quite get a complete accurate mapping, because it couldn't see all the walls. It wasn't a big deal to correct, just go ahead and "remap" when you're ready again. It does not take long. The app is fairly intuitive so connecting to your network is pretty straight forward. This unit comes with all the bells and whistles. It vacuums, it mops or it vacuums and mops, or it will vacuum first, then mop, etc. etc. I personally like the "Zone" feature, because you can tell it to clean the areas that you determine are the dirtiest and let it go! I thought we had a clean house, but the dirty water in the base station tells me a different story. The wood floors just have more shine to them. When it's through it goes back to the base station and recleans the mop with hot water and dries the mop head as well. Ohh, it also empties out the dust and hair that it picks up as well. Now that we have used it for a few days, my wife will never let me return it. It will be a permanent part of the family from now on. Go get yourself a Narwal Flow, you won't be disappointed.

Quick, and lots of battery while mopping
This thing has been great! I have had robot for years. For this robot I have over 2400 foot of vacuum able space. All tile or wood. 2 dogs 2 cats and 3 humans. I tend to bring in mud and stuff from outside, dog's and cats leave toys and other surprise's in random spots. One of the ladies of the house puts throw rugs everywhere, the other drops tissues paper in random spots and times. Normally the house is populated 24/7 with people coming and going in the daytime. We call the robot Flo. When she first arrived she errors while mapping at 2000 sqft. After the update she mapped the house fine. I was able to adjust the map to make sense for me. As zones that's would always be dirty(back door, cat litter areas). With my other robot though the years I found most did not have have the run time, and or the charging capability to finish our house in a normal day 8-10 hours. Flow gets pretty close around 10 hours if I set her up for vac and mop at the same time. At first this sounded bad to me. But as I saw how well it worked. I got where I liked it. She goes around most toys, shoes, and what ever nice. So far her stats are 22000 sqft cleaned, 82 tasks,42 hours. I think she has not finished three times. 2 times failed due to dog tow with strings hanging from it. She was going around the toy and got grabbed the a string with the roller. The other time was with a throw rug. Flow really does not like throw rugs at all. I finally just pick them up first to keep me from changing a issue. Good are always moving them around so you can't really tell flow much. She does notice dog pee pads and drives around them which is nice. I wish she would do the same with throw rugs. With my other robots long hair wraps around the pick up roller. Flow does not have that problem. She can not quite finish all the areas in one run, but she charges pretty fast and seems to be smart about how she charges. I tend to clean the house in parts depending where people are going to be. I hardly ever clean house all at once. Cleaning vacuuming parts are easy and really very little work. Mopping tends to add more maintenance. I tend to fill the water tank every time I run her on large cleaning runs, pour out dirt water tank which gets pretty dirty. After about 15000sqft I cleaned the mopping parts of the robot and the pull out pieces in the main station. Those do need cleaning as they get dirt in rollers and stuff. Over all wonderful machine. Floors look great after the mopping. Pros: Quick Reliable Mops great Battery life Cleans spilt water Very quiet Quickly navigates around the house. Negative: Have to clean mopping stuff after 15000sqft A penney will get stuck in roller box, luckily it goes to spot to not damage it cause to many issues. Does not do well with throw rugs My wife does not like spot light while it's cleaning at night.

WE **LOVE** THIS THING!!
Long review ahead, but I promise it’s worth it!! Background info: I bought this for my wife for Christmas as we (but mainly she) spends a lot of time sweeping and mopping the floors of our house due to the amount of pets we have. We have 4 dogs (1 sheds A LOT, 2 shed a moderate amount, and the other doesn’t shed at all). We also have a cat. It takes DAILY sweeping to keep up with our house due to the breeds/amount of pets we have. If you have a lot of pets - have no fear because this will do wonders!! Packaging: The item and all it comes with is packaged nicely. The unit itself is clean and sleek looking. Ease of setup: Setup is super easy, just follow the steps through the app. App functionality: You can do everything you need to through this app from picking how many times it goes over a room, how intense the suction power of the vacuum is, how wet the mop leaves the floors, scheduling, changing/modification of mapped floor plans, etc. There’s also a setting called “Freo” mode where it is smart enough to sense what needs redone and what doesn’t. It amazes me how crazy smart this thing is, it can tell based off the mop water if excess dirt has been detected and will send it back to the problem areas to keep cleaning until it’s truly clean. It will also wash and heat dry its own mop pads to keep them clean and not produce any odors. I slightly modified the barriers of our rooms it mapped out, so we can send it to a problem area of the house if need be and everything is divided from rooms down to hallways so we can clean an individual room if a mess arises, and not the entire house. You can also create shortcuts in the app so it can clean whatever you want, however you want. We’ve had no human/pet hair tangled in the roller and its capability to detect objects on the floor and move accordingly has been great! Ours is programmed to clean the mop after each room it cleans (we selected this option so we’d have clean mop pads for the other rooms cleaned after it cleans where the litter box is). Funny enough, it’s smart enough to know when the mop pads are dirty and will automatically send it to the docking station for cleaning ANYTIME during the cleaning - whether it’s done with the room or not. It also knows the difference between carpet rugs and hardwood floors. You can also tell it which way the hardwood floor is laid in the house so it goes with the grain and doesn’t leave streaks. The first night we had it, we ran it at night as we slept. It has a night mode (set with a start/end time period) where it will disable docking station lights, audio, and reduce the vacuum to its quietest setting. It’s quiet enough I fell asleep as it was vacuuming/mopping under our bed. Due to the breeds/amount of animals we have, we scheduled it to vacuum and mop the house 3 days / week. Some tips after several uses: 1) When prioritizing your rooms to be cleaned, look at your floor plan and choose the farthest room from the docking station. Make that the first room it cleans, and the last room would be that which has the docking station it in. Initially, I wasn’t going to set ours up this way because we wanted the litter box room done last, but this thing is so smart it will clean the pads when dirty anyway, so this isn’t an issue as it doesn’t track any litter through the remaining rooms to be cleaned anyway. Starting in the room farthest from the docking station and ending in the room where the station is will keep it from rolling over freshly mopped floors to clean a room farther away. 2) Don’t be alarmed if the first time it cleans it takes HOURS. Our first cleaning took 4 hours. The cleaning today took just over an hour. Once it has things nice and clean, the routine upkeep helps reduce its time in use quite a bit. 3) Freo mode is a great, and thorough mode, IF YOU’RE HOME… I don’t recommend this mode when you’re away from the house because it is so thorough in problem areas it will redo those areas so much you’ll run out of water while you’re gone and it won’t finish the job until refilled. For us, we disabled Freo mode in the scheduling so we know it will do the entire house while we’re gone. 4) SPEND THE MONEY!!!! When these automated vacuums first came out years ago, I bought a cheap one at Walmart. I’d say it did less than average of what it should’ve - cleaning results wise. This time, I went with the philosophy of “you get what you pay for” and with this… you will NOT be disappointed!! OUR FLOORS FEEL LIKE BUTTER THEY ARE SO CLEAN, SHINY, AND SMOOTH!! We have not stopped talking about this since we used it. It even has its own name now, haha! Maintenance Answers: 1) After a deep clean is done and you’re routinely cleaning, a full water tank is enough to get the job done for us and doesn’t need refilled during the job (this will depend on square footage). 2) So far, our device has cleaned a total of 8.9K square feet and has had 25 hours of use. We have not had to replace the mop heads yet OR the lemon & basil sent cleaning solution it automatically mixes with the clean water. The app also tracks its parts and tells you when the mop heads need replaced, etc. These items can be purchased on Amazon through the Narwal store so they are name brand and meant for your device. They aren’t expensive either. I researched, read reviews, and watched many of videos before this purchase due to my previous experience with a cheaper model, and the price of this one being on the high side, but I’m telling you - YOU WON’T REGRET THIS PURCHASE!! I never leave reviews, but this thing earned a 5-STAR review! We’d both rate it higher if we could!!!!!

This is a $500 robot, not a $1500 one....see details!
This is a $500 robot, not a $1500 robot! There is a HUGE problem with this robot. Unless you have ALL super simple square or rectangle rooms, you can FORGET MAPPING out your house properly. If you can't MAP properly, you can't CLEAN properly!!! I've spoken to customer service MANY times, spending hours and hours trying to map properly, nope, can't do it. They confirm it can;t be done and they said they have no way to fix my maps and get them back to me so that it does work properly. I literally spend 8-10 hours to just get a basic map of 5 rooms in my main living level. And to do this, I had to try to trick the robot, by blocking off 1 room at a time with "obstacles" or temporary cardboard "walls". My end result? A complete MESS of a map with diagonal lines cutting thought the middle of rooms, walls that it just does not see, and a robot that goes haywire trying to clean, wasting tons of time because its confused. The MAP editor only work for the most simple of rooms, forget about sectioning off areas you dont want cleaned. I told them that they need to make the map editor so that end users can move, place, and re-size the walls where ever they want to so we can FIX what the radar mapping gets wrong. And it will get a lot wrong. They said, "nope, cant do that". This robot will not map any rooms with half or quarter walls. It struggles with identifying carpet and tile mapping as well. They dont even have it set to recognize carpet by default and you have to change some weird setting. In all fairness, it cleans "ok". It vacuums ok, but will miss some stuff. The mopping we think is pretty good, if you have it do multiple passes. It recognized things like pets and obstacles well. Another problem is that when you designate a carpet surface in an area, it TURNS OFF the edge brushes!!! Wait, what? Why on earth would you NOT want the robot to use the edge brushes up against your base-boards in room with wall-to wall carpet? So it leaves crud all up against the walls on carpets. I asked them about this, they said "we have that off by default so that the edge brushes don't scatter material out across the carpeted area". But, it has them ON on tile. Folks, edge brushes are going to scatter debris WAY FARTHER on tile than on any carpet! They have this BACKWARDS! And, when it starts cleaning, it always does the perrimiter first, and would only move debris out into and area that sill will be cleaned. So, you have to TRICK to robot to get any baseboard cleaning and tell it the room is TILE instead of carpet. Simple fix would be to just make a setting to turn on or off the edge brushes if you like. Simple! (sorry, not available) This does work but guess what? Don't accidentally set it to mop (which is easy to accidentally do) or it will MOP ALL YOUR CARPETS! Its just got QUIRKS that a $1500 robot SHOULD NOT HAVE! Customer service is pretty good, but using the app based chat is HORRIBLE! If you leave the app for like 2 minutes, it will kick you out, and to get a chat started again, you have to re-enter ALL your criteria and purchase # every single time!! Come on folks, do better! They do try to help, and customer service is better than most I would say, they just let me down by telling me "Sorry, cant fix that MAJOR PROBLEM making using the robot VERY challenging and TIME CONSUMING". On the BAD maps issues they said to me after I tried to re-map like twice, spending like 8-10 hours, "try mapping again and see what happens" HAHAHAHAH! How about NO! The software interface is not that good either, a bit confusing, and you have to really move though levels of stuff to get simple things like cleaning logs. Narwal, FIX your map software and ALLOW me move and resize and place walls as needed so the map is correct!!! Until you do that, this robot only works on the SIMPLEST of layouts and is a NIGHTMARE otherwise!

Narwal Flow, an excellent cleaning assistant
The Narwal Flow is an excellent cleaning assistant. I found it easy to set up and use, and I would highly recommend it. That said, there are a few caveats users should be aware of. First, it doesn’t perform well with small rugs, such as bathroom mats, and can sometimes get stuck on them. It’s best to pick these up before starting a vacuum or mop cycle. Second, while it does a good job vacuuming dust and debris on hard surfaces, its performance on rugs and carpet doesn’t compare to a stick or upright vacuum. Where this product truly shines is the mopping function. You’ll be surprised when you see the dirty water and realize how much grime it removes from your floors. I have hardwood floors, and I’m genuinely impressed with how effective the mopping feature is. I was initially concerned about whether it would leave the floor too wet or leave behind residue, but it uses just a small amount of water that dries quickly and leaves no residue. Overall, I’m very pleased with this unit. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because I expected better carpet vacuuming performance. Since most of my floors are hard surfaces, it excels in the areas that matter most to me.

Game changing Robot Vacuum brush but challenging Customer Service and App
We have had our Narwal for about a month now and all I can say is WOW!!! I am blown away by three things. 1. The way the roller brush captures animal hair is mind blowing. We have an Irish Wolfhound that leaves hair throughout the house. Since we started using this, there is barely anything on the ground (daily cleaning) and have yet to have a brush tangle. 2. The mop function is incredible. This vacuum/map does such an amazing job on our floors. Every morning we wake up to spotless floors. 3. This thing is quiet. I actually like the fact that there is no dust bin capture in the base. It's so quick an easy to empty that it's really not an issue. You can barely hear the thing while it's cleaning the house. Truly impressed. The loudest part is when it cleans the mops, but even then it's not that loud. Setup was fairly easy, but as others have mentioned, connecting to your Wifi for the first time can be a challenge. It found my Wifi, I entered the password, but it wouldn't finish the setup. I just ended up force closing the app and opened it back up, started the process again and it went through. Mapping the house was fairly easy, but I did notice a few errors it made and had to remap a few times. Not a big deal as it's a very fast process. I ended up putting down fake cardboard walls to help it separate certain rooms (rather than making it one giant room). Seemed to fix the problem. I also had to cover a few mirrors in the house as it though there was a secret portal into another dimension! LOL The app for the most part is intuitive and easy to use. Mapping a second floor is a PITA, and it does not work the same as it does for the first floor. You can only select an entire area rather than an individual room. Also, I can't figure out how to tell it to mop on the second floor as it needs it's base. Luckily for us we have mostly carpet on the second floor. Customer support is non existent so don't get your hopes up. I have emailed there team a few times and still no response. I have also tried the Reddit Forum and you get a response, but they tell you to email their CSR team and you fall into a never ending cycle of 'NO SUPPORT'. All of my issues have to do with the APP and not about the machine itself... just an FYI. Repair support may be faster. As for the machine and base itself. It's a premium robot vacuum and it is hands down the nicest looking of the bunch. We also got the auto water exchange system and it works like a dream. If you can plumb it in, make the purchase. You won't regret it!

Best cleaning robot ever!!
I have been using vacuum robots since 2008 and have seen them evolve from fairly clunky machines that needed a lot of watching over (for falls, getting stuck etc) to far more competent devices. For the last few years I have been using a Cecotech vacuum mop which is a great machine but it did require me to fill water and also clean the dust bin frequently. Just about a week ago I made the happy decision to upgrade to a Narwal Freo X Ultra. This cleaner is a class apart. The hardware and the software are a brilliant evolution from what I could loosely call the previous generation. The machine is flawless in mapping, navigation, obstacle avoidance and returning to base. Moreover, it compresses the dust collected and thereby gives the disposable dust bag a life of nearly 6 weeks. The 4.5 ltr water tank provides the fuel to mop 3000 sq ft. And it auto cleans itself and dries the mop pads as well. Clearly a quantum leap in cleaning tech and perhaps the most outstanding gadget I have ever bought (and that is a big statement given that I am quite a gadget-o-phile). Way to go Narwal!!

Truly impressive robot vacuum and mop
This robot is simply excellent. From the very first use, it creates a highly accurate floor map, which then allows for a wide range of customization options: choosing the order of rooms, setting no-go zones, cleaning or avoiding carpets, adjusting suction power, cleaning intensity, and water flow for mopping. It detects stairs perfectly, moves intelligently, and does a surprisingly good job cleaning under tables and around chair legs, without missing any areas. The docking station is extremely convenient: it automatically washes the mop, refills with clean water, and empties dirty water with no manual intervention. The app lets you track the cleaning in real time on the map, and it’s clear that no part of the floor is overlooked. A purchase I absolutely don’t regret. Efficient, autonomous, and very well designed. Highly recommended.

A Little Genie That Transformed Our Home Cleaning!
We’ve been using the Narwal Freo X Ultra for the past 10 months, and it has truly been a game-changer for us. Before this, we had an iRobot, and to be honest, it was a frustrating experience. The docking was unreliable — we had to manually dock it almost every time, and if we forgot, vacuuming during an urgent need was just not possible. But the Narwal Freo X Ultra is a whole different story — it’s like having a little genie at home. It intelligently senses dirt in the room and adjusts its cleaning cycles accordingly. The results are fantastic — our home always looks spotlessly clean, and the vacuuming performance is so effective that it even gives a mopped look. What impresses us the most: • Super quiet: It works so silently that most of the time we don’t even notice it’s running. • Works in total darkness: Unlike the iRobot, this one doesn’t need light to function. • Exceptional mapping: It maps the house perfectly and skillfully avoids obstacles. It has never once banged into furniture or walls. • Smart and independent: Once set up, we never had to bother. It does its job reliably every time. We are extremely happy with the product and have recommended it to many of our friends. Several of them have purchased it and shared the same positive experience. If you’re looking for a reliable, intelligent, and efficient home cleaning robot — look no further. This is it!

Narwal Freo X Ultra
I have had experience with robotic vacuum cleaners and mops for years. This attractive and well designed product is the best one I’ve owned and it works perfectly. Narwal will doubtless be sending out OTA updates to make it even better. The thing is, it is really hard for me to find any fault with this product that is an improvement over its predecessor. With it able to work perfectly in fully automatic A.I. Freo Mind mode, it makes use of numerous sensors to detect and correctly react to dirt or spills in the most appropriate manner. If you want to make use of various settings yourself to modify the system, you will find the app provides you with vast control. Point is, the mopping pads are able to adjust pressure on the floor depending upon the surface. A little less downward pressure on your wooden floors versus your tiles. Those pads are kept clean and wet with prompt and effective washing with clean fresh water in the handsomely designed base. Detergent that is child and pet safe is automatically added to the water. When the cleaning job completes they are washed and dried with heated air. The washing tray is easy to remove and clean yourself as you should do every couple of weeks or so. The system is designed for maximizing cleaning performance, with no fiddly easy to fail mechanical washing methods. I also am so very pleased that with this powerful capable vacuum and mop to find out that it is amazingly quiet. A very large dustbin is made more efficient by the compression of the contained contents and disinfected and air drying to prevent any moisture from leading to bacterial growth and smells. The solution is in sync with the ability to handle potentially a longer, dump with a possible 7 weeks needed before tossing the expanding disposal filter bags/cartridges or you can use the included 1 litre more conventional dustbin with a washable filter. I have only used the newer disposal bins thus far and I am very happy to say they work as advertised. If you’re someone who has a few kids and several pets, you may have more frequently emptying and the easiest to empty conventional dust bin may be the way you end up going. Take note though that you are able to buy third parties filters and parts that are very cost effective. The Narwal Freo is a great machine that has been a success around the world, so no shortage of consumables are available for your long term enjoyment of this machine. It is an easy to setup product that you can trust to make your home as clean as possible and even do this while the family sleeps as it is so quiet and doesn’t have a super loud dirt handling solution that is subject to possibly clogging up with potentially damp dirt and dust. On so many levels, this mopping vacuum is a step above. I am very glad that I took the plunge and went with Narwal who have gone above and beyond in designing a super capable and easy to live with device to make your home better. Highly recommended.
