Yes, they are quite soft - not like espadrilles.. as long as you get the right size, they shouldn't rub your heels.

Q: What is your 3.5 size in european 35 36 conversion?

I’d advise taking a full size bigger than you think you need as they come up small. I have several pairs in different colours and have needed a 40 instead of my usual 39 each time. Trust this helps

I am a UK size 6. After reading the reviews on size I went with an 8 as they come up small. However if you have very narrow feet they may gape at the sides but will be fine in other respects. In reading the returns policy it seems straight forward and it's free returns! So maybe take a chance as I've had many positive comments on them. Hope that helps.

I finally managed to get 2 pairs of these shoes at JIGSAW who seem to get the sizing right. I'm a UK8 and 42 is what I got (which the shoe manufacturers call a 9!) 39 should be a UK6 but you might be better to get a 40 if you're buying online and not able to try on first.
