The Nite Ize G-Biner is an excellent key ring or EDC item method of carry when it is useful to secure items that will likely never be removed and separate those from items that may be removed frequently. Think house key (almost never removed) versus car fob (removed for servicing or valet purposes) - or for those thinking of backpacking or camping, think a small capsule with a fire-starter and a small striker/scraper (held in one hand for use or left in pocket) versus a small ferrocerium rod (removed and held in the other hand to be scraped to spark by knife spine or the striker/scraper.Material quality is excellent as is the action of the gates. The "secure" section gate is easily "entered", but not so easily "exited", while the larger "opening to world" section gate isn't difficult to manipulate to release what has been gated.I found that the #1 size G-Biner is adequate to contain and carry six items - Swiss Army Classic, House Key, small capsule for meds, a small keychain light, a glow in the dark Tritium capsule (to find this keyring easily in the dark if dropped or in a drawer), and car fob.I also found previously that with an #2 size S-Biner, an item somehow occasionally became unclipped in my pocket, but not yet with the G-Biner.

This is an excellent carabiner for keys.With this, there is no risk of a key accidentally falling out when you open this to attach and detach this carabiner to your belt loop or bag as it has a separate chamber where the keys sit.You can rest assured you will not lose a key while handling this carabiner.I really like their other tiny s-carabiner for carrying keys but this is even better.This is by far the most secure carabiner for carrying keys that I have found so far.The build quality is excellent.It looks and feels very durable.Highly recommend this one if you are looking for a good carabiner for carrying keys.

The inner gate does require some pressure to open so I do not see this opening by itself anytime soon. Works for holding my keys and even holding my dog's tags.
