Q: What is it made of? Plastic? Paper? Wood?

Essentially it's a bunch of hallow plastic triangles held together and hinged by the stickers. Stickers seem fairly durable but don't expect it to hold up long with regular use. It's the magnets that likely make this cost so much. OK novelty item if on a deep sale but not worth anywhere near full price IMO.

The major source is currently China.[6] Some countries classify rare earth metals as strategically important,[7] and recent Chinese export restrictions on these materials have led some to initiate research programs to develop strong magnets that do not require rare earth metals. It’s not a scam just because you don’t know something. I’ve bought one for each of my 3 kids and own several myself, they are solid quality and if you’re seeing the same product for $7.99-$8.99 it’s a cheep knock off. Absolutely worth the price.

It probably won't entertain for as long as the rubics cube but I think someone that age would find it fascinating.

Each sideof Shashibo when in the Box is 2.25". Hope that helps!
