Good quality parasol, looks really classy and smart, feels strong and robust. Easy to put up or take down, tilt or swing round to shade from the sun.Very pleased with purchase

Umbrella gives great shade with UPV protection and you really feel the benefit of this on a hot, sunny day.Looks stylish.Quite straight forward to assemble though reckon 2 people ideal when positioning the arm into base.Recommend only part filling base when working out where to position it. We found even a relatively light wind was enough to start lifting the base when it was half full with gravel - we ended up using 6 large bags of gravel and now have good stability. Now in place we’re trying to avoid moving it as heavy.The base is big so we have disguised it with a table that sits over it and pots.Slight annoyance is that Grand Patio included information about registering the product on their website but the site can’t be found even by scanning the q code provided.Overall very happy with the shade.

This umbrella is beautifully made and easy to operate. We had some problems with the assembly which were quickly and courteously resolved by the vendor. We would definitely recommend.

This is a classy item. Feels well made and sturdy. Base when full of water is very heavy. Overall were very happy with the parasol and think it will last many years.Edit: reduced to 1 star.13 months of light use only!The winder string has broken. I took the mechanism apart and the problem is it gets caught on the handle and wears out.I’ve contacted the seller and they tell me it can’t be replaced, is out of warranty and so I need to buy a new one. Shame on you!Terrible waste. Admittedly replacing the string will be tricky but far from impossible.For such an expensive item I would expect more maintainability, better customer service and a policy of not sending large perfectly good items to landfill.

Looks good set up, not tested in the sun yet, but sure it’ll be great. Much bigger than I thought!

Easy to assemble looks good we made

When I bought this parasol a year ao I was impressed with the build quality and size of the parasol. We had a summer underneath it during 2022. This year is lasted about six opening before the cord suddenly snapped, making it useless. As the parasol is an expensive item but now out of warantee, I sent an email to Grand Patio to see if they had any instruction on how to replace the cord or any other suggestions. I heard nothing from them. Looking on YouTube I saw various instructional videos of how to fix cords that had snapped, however they were not the model that I have. As it's a heavy parasol I could do little except remove the handle and take the cord out. I had to wait for one of my son's to visit so we could fix it. After some hits and misses, we eventually sorted out the cord, refitted the equipment, parasol and then successfully raised the umbrella once again. It's an expensive item to fail just after one season, it's not like we have sun 365 days of the year in the UK - our summers are short, so would have expected many years use of this parasol. I'm afraid for the cost I cannot recommend this parasol, especially when their customer service failed to get back in touch with me.
