GOBENDX 37mm Variable ND Lens Filter (1Peak)

I bought this to go with a Olympus OMD 10 iii purchased to take on vacation rather than carry a full frame D750, lenses, filter holders, 100 & 82 filters etc. When it arrived, the size startled me, I lhad ow expectations given prior experences with variable filters and initial trial shots in the garden were poor but this morning I gave the filter and camera a real go and I was positively surprised. At the max end of the ND scale there was some colour variation/vignetting on a flat grey sky but other than that it done what it said on the box.On the negative side Amazon had the order over a week before it was processed and when I chased it they referred me to GOBE who intern referred me back to Amazon

Bought to use whilst capturing video footage with my mobile phone. With this I can slow the shutter speed to the 1/60 sec I need for smooth and cinematic footage. The glass is top quality and there is no noticeable loss of image quality in the end video - providing you don't push it too far that is. I should point out that you will get the "X" when used at very high ND values, but you get this with all variable ND filters. When I am recording video I don't need to push the filter this far - so this is not a problem and I don't suffer the "X" phenomena. A must have if you want to capture video with your mobile phone.

A good and easy to use variable filter that goes from clear to 400. Some sort of graduation marks on the ring just for guidance purposes would score a five.

Works well, different from a nd grad, square type filter but has a place in my kit.

The media could not be loaded.  Unfortunately this filter is not useful for video on my iPhone X with a RhinoShield Professional 0.6 x 110° HD Wide Angle Lens as the video (attached) shows.The ND filter darkens the frame far more on one side than the other, which results in an uneven exposure.The ND filter can also been seen when I gently pan due to the combination of the wide-angle lens & built-in camera stabilizer.

Works great for long exposure shots but not when using a large aperture in sunlight because you get ringing bokeh.

I am of the strong opinion that Making a decision to go for GOBE filters was absolutely correct owing to its built quality and the results I am getting
