Got this for a gift for my husband. We are both long time golfers and I watch him pick out dirt from the grooves with the end of a golf tee. Haha (ot very effective at all!) He LOVES it. We got a second for his brother who is also an avid golfer. What my husband says about it: Fits nicely in the tee and ball pocket of the golf bag, it is a very sturdy tool and it cleans the grooves way better than a tee! Basically, he loves it. This would make a great stoking stuffer or smaller gift.

I actually play golf on a regular basis and when my clubs were new, I was able to put a great deal of spin on my golf ball. As my clubs have gotten old I lost almost all of my spin on pitch shots, and some spin on chips. After I used your sharpener i has to adjust my approach shots to go the distance of the flag, and had to be more aggressive on my chip shots because they check up so much quicker now. That’s an adjustment I can live with. I am very pleased with the results and plan to buy more of your TrueGroove sharpening tool. I will also tell my golf buddies.

I'd guessless than 10% of all golfers ever bother to re-grove their club faces with the the more common attempt being a golf towel wipe,maybe running a golf tee down a few groves or for the more serious golfer, brushing the groves from time to time with a nail brush.Right ? ,,,just doesn't do the job especially for clubs a few years old that in most cases have lost that grove edge for that optimal "ballstopping' capability the manufacturer built into the club especially for those those mid range Par 3's or fairway approach shots !! I justdid my irons with the TrueGrove Sharpener from 3-PW taking in about 20 mins and was amazed seeing the 'baked in crud' that cameout of what appeared to be 'clean groves' along with some fine metal shavings from re-groving ! Now...my club groves are back to whatI had when I purchased my clubs some years ago ! Now even more anxious for next Spring Golf Season to see the difference !! I really just wanted something convenient to clean my grooves that would attache easily to my bag. But the tip of this toy is large - for sharpening not cleaning. I don't want to risk damaging my clubs and making them nonconforming - so it just sits in my garage and I use a knife to clean my grooves.

True grove tool was well constructed and worked to produce crisp groves on my wedges and all irons.Aside from normal wear and tear, the groves looked close to what they looked like when new.I had been using another grove tool before, but it was difficult to hold and fatigued my hand where as the "Trugrove", was easier to hold, control and was less fatiguing to use.I will definitely recommend to my friends.

I received my 'TruGroove' yesterday . tried it right away, 4 full swipes of each groove on all my irons ( 3 wedges and 4 thru 9) ....played 36 holes today finished up with 4 shaggy balls lol they will be going in my range bag .buy with confidence works great ! i looked at cheaper ones but opted for American made ! and glad i did !!

Works good and as stated. I’m just not sure if it will widen or deepen the groves more then what’s legal. I’m not on that level so perfect to me.
