South Bay Board Co. - 46” Squid Inflatable Bodyboard with Fins - Un-Snappable Boogie Board - Best Inflatable Body Board for Kids & Adults - Durable, PVC Shell with Drop-Stitch Technology

I have been using this bodyboard 2-3 times a week now for the past 1.5 months and I just keep liking it more and more. First and foremost, it was the right decision for airplane travel--even though it costs more than a medium-priced bodyboard, most airlines charge $100 to take a board, so I saved that money up front. I'm also able to easily carry it in a backpack or in the back of my bike to the beach and then inflate it in about a minute. It is incredibly strong so far and has carried me on some 8-10' waves, a few wild wipeouts, and even landed on rocks a couple times with no damage. The hard, fabric-reinforced plastic bottom feels quite indestructible. I don't have a lot to compare it to, as the last time I went "boogie boarding" was in the 1980s when I was a kid, but it is very maneuverable and has done everything I have expected it to do. I have been using it in a great lake (Lake Nicaragua), which I assume is harder to surf than the actual ocean, so I look forward to trying it in salt water one day.i originally thought the hand straps were somewhat gimmicky, but I am using them more and more now and they seem to be holding up. I also dive under the waves with the board trailing behind me, held by the front strap. I have been able to duck dive with this board, but I usually prefer to swim under the waves with the board behind me, as I can get deeper under water to not get washed back. My only minor complaint is that the included duffel bag is much bigger than it needs to be--I'd much rather have a compact backpack than a big, floppy duffel. The pump with air pressure gauge so far is great, however the little plastic cover on the gauge has fallen off, and I have luckily been able to pop it back on without issue so far. If it falls off in the bag and bends the gauge needle, however, I expect the gauge might break. Perhaps I will try to glue it in place? For travel, I think the pump would ideally be a little smaller, like half its size (the pump is longer than the rolled-up board, so if you roll it up in the middle, it sticks out about 4" on each side), even if than meant 2 minutes to pump up rather than 1 minute, but it certainly does the job and does it well.

The media could not be loaded.  Fun, Durable, High Quality body board w the same performance as hard boards. Easy to pack and travel w, I brought this board to HI and used it at some of my favorite beaches. Pumps up & deflates super fast, Easily accommodated me @ 200lbs & the built in fins added extra control. My wife enjoyed this as well & would reccomend to others as great packable board for world wide travel.

What a killer idea!It feels very solid in the hand and I live being able to travel with it.

This product is absolutely amazing and great for vacations. It comes in a very convenient travel pack which means it is easy to have multiple boards packed tightly in the car for long trips. Additionally, it is great in the surf especially as an adult. I stayed in the waves all day long with my kids on this thing and out road them constantly. The only downside is it's slightly heavier and littler kids may struggle with it but this is not the right board for them. Not only is the product great but the customer service is amazing as well I managed to accidentally break the little valve from the pump by stepping on it and they sent me a new one even though it was my fault and I explained that to them. This company is awesome definitely buy something from them even if it's not the squid.

This board is sooooooooo much better than I expected. It’s inflatable, but feels rigid. More solid than typical body boards. I used it in 2-3 ft waves in NJ, but it feels like it would be unscathed at Mavericks or Pipeline. I’m 6’2” 210 lbs and was able to paddle and catch waves with ease. My 9 yr old 75 lb daughter also loved it. Only regret is that I wish I bought two. Can be rolled up small when deflated. Takes about 10 seconds to pump.

This company seems passionate about what they do. I found this product by doing a customer review search on here and it didn’t disappoint. Very sturdy and it doesn’t leak. Nice to have the built-in fins too! I’m just trying to figure out how to fold it back properly again for storage. The only complaint is that I’m not sure how sturdy the included duffel bag is. And it would be nice to have a shoulder strap with it.

I bought this alongside a stiffer foam board and the foam board performed much better in small waves. The inflatable board looks very fancy and is well packaged but it bobs around in the ocean with little sense of control. It also WILL give you a rash if you don't have a rashguard. The rubbery surface really sticks to your skin. Both my 10 year old son and my 175 pound boyfriend used this inflatable board and both preferred the cheaper foam board.

Ordered one... had a leak around the air fill fitting, returned it and got another one, took it out once, leaked in the same spot!

Cannot use pump. Leaks all the air back through the pressure gauge. Couldn’t blow up the board

The media could not be loaded.  Travelled it in my suitcase to Costa Rica and had a blast body-boarding in the breakwater of Mal Pais. Everything I hoped it would be !
