Carbon plates are simple, rigid insets--no reason to overspend
These get the job done. They are true to size and well-made. I got them for a navicular injury that needed a reprieve from flexing to heal. They do their job. I bought several pairs to equip an array of shoes at a bargain price. My injury is to my right ankle, but I use them in both shoes to make walking more even. I wear my Hoka trail running shoes for hiking, and the carbon plates mean that I don't risk stone bruises. The Hoka-carbon plate combination is much lighter than my Vibram-soled Keen hiking boots.

Step Up Your Game: Carbon Fiber Insoles Bring Comfort and Performance!
Exploring new ways to enhance comfort and performance and with a more active lifestyle, I recently tried out a pair of Carbon Fiber Insoles. I’ve had foot and ankle problems that have slowed me down in recent years. These insoles added a subtle yet appreciable spring to my step. It's not a dramatic difference, but it's enough to feel a boost during physical activities. My son also gave them a go on the basketball court and was even more impressed with the results. The insoles are thicker and stiffer compared to others we've used, which is a double-edged sword. While they offer more support and a noticeable improvement in action, they're slightly less comfortable for everyday activities. It's a trade-off, but one that could be worth it depending on your needs. If you're looking for an insole that adds a bit more power to your sporting endeavors, these Carbon Fiber Insoles are a solid bet. They might take some getting used to for regular wear, but the performance boost during sports activities is undeniable. Thanks for reading, and here's to more comfortable and energetic steps ahead!

Just What the Dr. Ordered…and They Work!
I’m amazed at the strength of these carbon fiber insoles. They are incredibly stiff (you can bend them, but you have to work at it) despite their thinness. I’ve been having some pain behind my toes when I walk, and the doctor told me it was because I was bending my toes too much and irritating the joints behind them. He told me that he could do several invasive procedures that might work or that I could order some carbon fiber insoles that would most likely help. So, when I saw these carbon fiber insoles from Unbound Sports, I ordered them! They slip under the original insoles of the shoe (which are then replaced). They are difficult to notice that they are in your shoe when you aren’t walking. When you are walking you notice that they don’t allow the toes to bend separately from the foot itself. For me this has made me tighten my shoelaces a bit more than I usually do because my heel has tended to rise up in the back of the shoe, but that’s a minor issue compared to the reduction in my pain in walking. It’s not completely gone (I think, but I’m not quite sure), but the intensity and frequency of it has certainly decreased. I’m very pleased! One thing I did notice is that the first day after wearing these inserts my lower calves were sore. They weren’t badly sore, but just a bit. I wondered why, not remembering any exercise I had done to irritate them, but then I remembered the insoles. These were probably forcing me to walk a bit differently – again, not a real problem as that pain was nothing compared to the pain in my (left) foot. After the second day I didn’t notice that anymore.I ordered the size 10.5, which is my shoe size, and these fit perfectly in my shoe. I’m using these in my hiking sneakers (my go to shoe) and they are working fine. I recommend these if you have a condition for which they would be useful.

Good quality, stiff but with some flex...
Carbon fiber is incredible stuff. These are only 1.3 mm thick but they stand up to me walking on them and greatly reduce toe joint flexing which is great when my turf toe acts up. I will only use them when needed, not all the time. These do provide considerably more flex than a steel shank, but I think that's good because the steel just feels awkward to me with no bend at all. This takes a lot of stress of the toe joints but still allows a somewhat natural motion.I got the size 10.5 mens and put them in my 10.5 shoes and was surprised to see that the inserts were about 1/2 inch shorter than my shoe insole. However, once I put my own insert back on top of the carbon insert they did not move when walking, but if you were planning on athletic movement I might get a half size bigger to have a snugger fit.

I don't know what to do with these
The media could not be loaded. If I was able to fit them in any shoe that I own (without feeling as though I was going to eventually tear the shoe), then I would be able to give a better review. I typically wear a size 12 (sometimes 11's if the brand runs big or wide), but I was not able to fit these into any shoe that I own... again, without being nervous I was going to damage the shoe.As I showed in the video, if you think that these are at all flexible, you would be wrong. They are rigid. Actual carbon fiber metal. Super thin.I'm not sure if I should suggest getting two sizes smaller than what you typically wear. I got 11s, I wear a 12, but I found these too big for everything. I think going smaller would have provided me with an insole that still allowed enough coverage of my foot to work fine.

Best insoles ever
These insoles don't make any sense... they are thin and stiff, but super comfortable. It takes a bit to get used to these, but once you do, you walk with a spring in your step. The point where your foot would normally flex during a step is stopped by the rigid insole, but it propels you forward as it straightens itself back out. It's very hard to explain, but it feels great. These are perfect for injuries like turf toe, or just to help you run more efficiently. I'll definitely be using these in all my workout shoes from now on.
