The Story Of O - Untold Pleasures [DVD]

I did enjoy this although it was different to the original book both in story and the time it was set

An excellent production and very interesting film if you like female discipline and punishment. A little bit dated now but still a very good film and value for money.

Absolutely awful. Barbie has nasty things done to her by Ken and Sindy and various other plastic representations of the species. A travesty of something originally created by a very clever French woman.

How anyone calling themselves 'writers' could take a masterpiece like 'The Story of O' and produce this is beyond me.

One reviewer has claimed that this movie is better than the original. It isn't. It really isn't. The original was, of course, exploitative soft-core porn but was at least elevated by the presence of the beautiful Corinne Cleary. The actress playing O in this version, whose name I've forgotten and can't be bothered to look up, is neither attractive nor sexy. In a movie like this that really is a major flaw. The story is, of course, complete rubbish - just like the original novel. But the original movie, unlike this pile of manure, was nevertheless erotic. I do wish Amazon would allow reviewers to award no stars at all.

This movie wasn't even remotely related to the actual theme of The Story of O, and wasn't clearly marked, it won't play on any of our DVD players, only on the computer.

As a fan of the original book and movie, this version is, in a word, lousy. Don't waste your money.
