Literally an expensive tower fan. I bought it hoping for some COOLING, but couldn't tell that any cooling took place (tried with ice, and with the included ice packs). Also, the timer does not work at all. I set the timer for an hour as I went to bed, and it was still running in the morning. This is especially a problem with the cooling function (which did not cool anything), as you can't use it without water, and the water will run out in a few hours, and with the timer not working, the fan "cooling" would then be running dry and makes lots of noise. I'd have to set an alarm to wake up and refill the water or manually turn off the cooling. I'd return this, but it requires the box, and the box was broken up and discarded. So I'm stuck with an expensive tower fan. This is such a bummer as a pregnant hot woman in the summer. :(

I have been using this evaporative cooler for a little over 2 weeks now. After about 5 days it starting making noise as it oscillated/turned so I stopped having it turn as the noise/sound was bothering me.The water reservoir only lasts about 4 hours on LOW fan speed so I end up refilling it in the middle of the night when I take a potty break. I do believe the specs say it should last longer.I am NOT noticing anything different with my dry inner nostrils after using this evaporative cooler (water only thus far). I would have thought it was putting water in the atmosphere like a humidifier but I am not finding this to be so.Have not used the 3 ice packs to "cool" the room yet. Fingers crossed that those work otherwise this was a very expensive fan and not what I was hoping it would be. I'll update my review once I do use the ice packs.

Before I forget, when it swings, it makes a cracking noise the whole time. Do not bother buying this if you think it'll cool off (even a 5' x 5' room); it will not. This is a regular fan that, even with 3 ice packs (provided) inserted in the ''drawer'' with water, does not blow ''cool'' air. Very disappointed. And the description is misleading. Live and learn...

This evaporated air cooler does not work well. When you fill it with the water and cooler pacts it does not feel very cool. Then if all the water does not evaporate you have to get all the extra water out of it. It’s a lot of work , so I just use it as a fan. I do not recommend wasting your money on this product. I am very disappointed with it. I should have returned it.

I purchased the unit before the heat wave in Chicago but didn’t use it until about two weeks ago because I was traveling abroad. On the fourth use, it started leaking all the water I put in, making it completely unusable.

For the price I paid, I was expecting more than just a tower fan. But instead, what I received was put to shame by my 8 inch desk fan. Honestly it felt like this thing blew out hot air! No matter how cold the water was that I put in, whether I added a humidifier or not, put another fan behind it to help it out, it was a pathetic and unfortunate result. On top of that, everytime it moves now it squeaks, and the water intake tank is stupidly built to make it a complete pain to clean it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Not powerful enough. Not very cool.

At first I thought this was a great fan it cooled the room off really well. But then I stopped working all of a sudden 3 months later. Passed the return date and passed the support date. So now I'm stuck with an expensive fan that does not work and I only use it for 3 months.
