Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed for Playstation 5

Still one of my favorite games of all time, although the Switch is probably not the best way to play this remake. I’ll get to why the Switch may not be the best way to play it after I talk about the game. I originally played this game on the Wii when I was a kid, and it was one of my favorite games ever, so I was really excited for this remake. I’ve got to say, the graphics are so good on this remake, visually it feels like it would be hard to go back to the original after playing this. It’s a fun game, it’s single player and there is no online mode so you can just play this whenever and wherever. I would recommend this game to both kids and adults, although not little kids, as this game may be a bit dark for them. This game was definitely harder for me to beat as a kid than it was for me as an adult, I never really struggled with it or the puzzles, but then again I’ve beaten the game before so I still remembered it. The hardest part for me was choosing which path to take - there are generally 2 paths you can take in the game, the thinner path (destructive/evil) or the paint path (the good path). There are different unlockables depending on the path you take so you can’t 100% the game just playing once. The decisions you make affect how other characters react to you, especially considering that you can either kill or redeem the bosses you fight. It’s generally easier to take the dark path and destroy them so taking the good path and fixing the world does require a bit more puzzle solving. Overall the game doesn’t change much depending on which path you choose, just different cutscenes and character interactions and collectibles. The story of this game is FANTASTIC. If you like games with stories then you should definitely check this one out, especially if you are a Disney fan. I really hope they remake the sequel too. If you are on the fence about getting this game, watch the prologue video online and see if it catches your interest. Now, onto why I think the Switch may not be the best way to play this remake. Well, a big part of the original game on the Wii was the motion controls, but the motion controls on the switch suck. They really are terrible, at least with how they implemented them in this game. Sadly I had to play it without the motion controls, because they were such a pain to use. In that respect, the Wii version is surprisingly superior, and by a large margin. Now onto the performance… it left something to be desired. Loading when traveling between worlds took over a minute, and when you repeatedly have to travel between worlds and levels it becomes a lot of waiting. And there are times where the game would lag, it got frustrating. It doesn’t seem to be an issue on the other platforms this game is available on, just the Switch, so maybe consider getting the game on other platforms if you can. But if you have a Switch 2 it largely resolves the lag issue and loading times. The wait between traveling was halved and the noticeable lag was gone. Motion controls were still an issue though. And the game crashed when I was fighting the final boss. So TLDR - amazing 10/10 game you should play it. The Nintendo Switch version is not the best version to get, but if you have a Nintendo Switch 2 it performs a lot better. But motion controls are a travesty on this remake, so it’s best to play without them.

You would think this would be aimed towards children, but honestly it has a spooky, halloween/gothic vibe. Adults totally will dig this game too (me being one of them) the art work, music, gameplay mechanics are strong in this one. It's a great time, another nostalgic platformer that is 100% worth playing. If you have any interest in this game, JUST BUY IT. You will enjoy yourself, trust me. I think it is a must-play for platformer enjoyers!

Outstanding game, played it on the wii back in the day, even better now. I was concerned about the motion controls, but no problem at all (it actually doesn't use the motion sensor, just the directional control stick). Simple, easy to play.

I played this on wii back in those days and loved it so much. So when I saw they remade it for switch i NEEDED it. The graphics are SO GREAT, and the animation style during those scenes is so cute. The gameplay is fun and simple so I don't forget the controls or anything. The levels aren't hard but they aren't too easy, so it takes the perfect amount of time and effort. Also it makes instructions very clear instead of sending you on your way. Yeah overall this is my favorite switch game totally get this.

This is a fantastic remake that fixed some problems from the original game. The presentation is phenomenal and it's the best way to replay or experience without needing to go back to original. Totally recommend this remake!

So far so good !! I’ve heard mixed reviews about this game but my daughter is 10 and new to gaming so she loves it .. easy to understand and follow.. good price considering all games are pretty much around the same price.

Great graphics, great story and obviously great game. If you are a Mickey fan, this is a must!!

Gostaria de jogar castle of illusion que ficou preso no PS3, porém esse corresponde a parte das expectativas.

Je lavais fait sur wii a sa sortie et j'avais franchement aimé, malgré un gameplay un peu hasardeux causé par les manettes, le remake est propre graphiquement, les musiques sont très belles, le gameplay a été clairement corrigé, ce qui aurait été bien, ca aurait été de rendre la navigation plus moderne avec une carte interractive, par exemple, ou que l'on puisse explorer les mondes et faire les quetes annexes a n importe quel moment, comme dans les autres jeux de 2024.

Excelente juego llegó mucho antes de la fecha de entrega y en excelentes condiciones.
