Super light and simple, durable, and breathable
Please don't stop making this line of boxers! My son said he's not going back to the regular undergarments after trying these on for the first time. If it's these or nothing, and you stop making them.... He adds a tip for his method: when tightening the string to fit, wind the two string ends together two or three times (rather than just once for a regular "half knot"), then pull a little past desired tightness. This makes adjustment way easier, so you don't have to fumble with the string trying to keep it from loosening while finishing your tying job. Then make a "half knot" or bow (over the first knot) with the remaining string length to secure the first one from coming undone. The string just hangs within or outside the boxers.)

Review for those with waistlines inbetween the S/M and L/XL sizes
This review is for people who are like me and are inbetween the recommended S/M and L/XL waist sizes of 28-34 and 36-42. I have a 35 inch waistline. I opted for the L/XL since I figured the drawstring would make up for the fact that they might be too loose. I also didn't want a potentially tight fit from going with the S/M. The whole reason to get these boxers to begin with is for a comfortable, loose fit. I definitely believe I made the correct decision because the drawstring allowed me to tighten them perfectly. And I didn't have to even make a super tight knot to accomplish this, just a regular knot.Tl;dr: Go with the L/XL if you have a waistline inbetween the S/M and L/XL sizes and the boxers will fit fine.

Soft, Soft, Soft
If you have a latex allergy you would know how difficult it is to find cotton clothing without any latex or elastic. These deliver and wash beautifully. Really happy with this and will be ordering more. One great pair that lasts is worth a dozen scratchy pair. I will update after several washing and wearings!

100% COMFORT texture and around the waist
Rich quality, great comfort and nice texture definitely the best boxer shorts I’ve ever purchased. They stretch after worn; I wear size 39-40 and I have plenty of room. The string ties up comfortably with no pressure around my waistline. My weight fluctuates so having control of the waistline pressure is very nice. No more overly tight or loose waistband.

Not my type.
I like these boxers, but it seems that drawstring wasn't right for me. You've gotta untie and retie them to do your dirtier business each time, a far more cumbersome task than the convenient pull-down and pull-up gesture that stretchy boxers allow. Additionally, the drawstrings tend to hang out in front of your pants/shorts and can sometimes be seen if your shirts don't come down to at least your pockets. In spite of this, it's very comfortable, doesn't ride, and is easy to forget that you're wearing. All in all, a very good pear of boxers that don't fit my tastes.

excellent product
This fits me. I wear at night. I am woman, and the women's underwear doesn't fit right.

Not crazy about the drawstring concept
I got these because elastic band boxers were irritating my skin, but don’t really like it. To me, the drawstring just feels weird.I also ordered their elastic waist version (the elastic is completely covered) and much prefer that. They do seem to run a bit small. Also a little pricy.

Not easy to find non elastic waistband, good for after surgery.
Hubs had massive surgery in abdominal area and complained about anything with a waistband. They don't give these shorts away, crazy expensive! But he wears them pretty much exclusively, is comfortable and happy with them.

Five Stars
Quite loose fitting but very comfortable. If, like me, the rubber/elastic waistband in underpants irritates the skin, these are ideal.

Decent product but mediocre durability and the packaging is garbage waiting to happen
I'm a repeat customer of Cottonique's products. I would d give 4 stars because it lives up to its niche market but it isn't that durable. The stitching starts to come undone after a few months of everyday wear.I am taking away another 1 star because the packaging is garbage-waiting-to-happen and I feel it is very off-brand. The packaging is a stand-up zip-lock plastic bag that is laminated in deceptively eco-friendly-looking paper. Why does it need to a plastic zipper? I'm not going to put my boxers back in this bag. Why is the plastic bag then laminated in paper? There is a recycling symbol on the bag but there is no other information. Is the paper made from post-consumer paper waste? I have no idea because it doesn't say anything. If the packaging were just plastic or just paper, I could recycle this wear I live. But because it is thing unnecessary hybrid, I have to throw it in the garbage so it doesn't contaminate my paper/plastic recyclables. I sent an email to Cottonique months ago after my last purchase and they have yet to respond.
