The Handbook of Glaze Recipes

I already own Colour in Glazes by Linda Bloomfield so had high hopes for this new glaze book and, I must say, I am not disappointed. There is a great selection in here, and you will be spoilt for choice with what to make. The additional information, such as the clay bodies, and the technical information, make this an excellent addition to any potter's library. It has great colour photography, and the spiral binding makes it so useful when you are actually mixing the glaze. Linda's first glaze book got me through my degree, and this new one is expanding my knowledge as well as my colour palette. The thing I love about her glazes is, you follow the ingredients carefully and they work! Cannot recommend highly enough!

Really informative book. Great explanations/diagrams, especially in regards to the molecular science of glazing. Good for beginners.

Easy to follow and a great intro for beginners who are nervous of making their own glazes from scratch.

Clear photos and recipes, well organised forckaybody types and firing temperatures as well as oxidation or reduction. Highly recommended. The ring binding is also helpful in the studio setting.

I am a stoneware potter so this book was fab as majority is high fire. Nice book. Clear.

It is the first ceramic book I purchased. Easy to read and simple English. Essential but with many recipes. I would also say good book format. I'm satisfied
