Long time fan of Gilmore Girls
I've been a fan of Gilmore Girls since it originally aired and fell back in love again when it was put on Netflix. I have seen every episode so many times I can recite some of the dialog at the same time as the actors. Emily Gilmore being one of my favorite. So that's what brought me to this book. And the fact that she was the voice in the audio book. I am also a big fan of Dirty Dancing. What kept me was how interesting learning about her life was. I was amazed on learning about how she was such an amazing dancer and had done some notable shows. But what made this book a 5 star read was the wise words about loss and finding herself. It really resonates with me. I felt like I've been in my own mid life crisis and the words at the end of the book were so meaningful and hit me like a light shining in to a dark room. I see things a little differently now about how I look at my past and look forward to my future. Thank you, Kelly (Carol) Bishop.

Sneak Peak into Kelly Bishop
Kelly Bishop put herself out there for this story. It was interesting to learn so much about her career. She admits that she is incredibly private, but she really did share so much. The biggest thing I got from the story is that she feels incredibly blessed. She puts her wishes and desires out into the universe and felt blessed each time they became real. Her love for ballet was very apparent. She started young and even at 80 years old just the way she talks about ba!let was beautiful. She still loves each moment that she danced\dances. She speaks so fondly and with love about being a chorus girl..Loved how she talked about Gilmore Girls and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Loved that she wasn't negative and sang praises for those that she worked with and for. This leaves the magic of Hollywood alone for those of us watching from the outside. She did mention some frustrations and annoyances but she didn't dwell on them. She had hard things. She mentioned them, talked about how she dealt and moved on. Being such a private person she didn't get super deep, but imo just about tight. I may not agree with all her choices and some made me super sad, but she was unapologetically herself. And that is why she gets a 4 star rating.

breathtaking!
Like most of the people that read this book in my age bracket, I have been a Kelly Bishop fan since meeting her as the brilliant Emily Gilmore. This memoir is raw, real and absolutely brilliant. I am honored to have read this incredible story and get to know such an inspiring woman better. Thank you for writing with honesty and grace. I was moved to tears. Highly recommended!

Great Memoir!
I enjoyed this book. I learned so much about Kelly Bishop's life that I had no clue about before.I have always loved her in Dirty Dancing and Gilmore Girls but had no idea about her history as a dancer.

Emily Gilmore. A woman of may talents.
I'm only about 40 pages in but if anyone loves Gilmore Girls and Emily Gilmore will truly love this book. Kelly (Carole) Bishop is one classy woman.

I don’t regret reading this.
It was very interesting and fun to read, not overly inspiring but still had some profound moments. Worth a read if not life changing.

I adored The Third Gilmore Girl
Kelly Bishop had me laughing and crying with her. I was imaging all the theaters, scenes and characters and even my 5 yo daughter who just started ballet this past year and where it might take her in the future. I grew up with the Gilmore Girls and it should be no surprise I would love this book but I truly loved this book. It pulled on all my heart strings and I felt it to my core. I can’t rave about it enough and so don’t give very many 5 star ratings. Love.

Love the book- but damaged hardcover by Amazon
I read this book and I loved it, however I hate ordering hard cover books on Amazon. They always arrive damaged. The cover doesn’t fit properly on the book, it’s dirty, ripped and smushed along the edges. It’s so frustrating. Probably will not order any hard covers again and just get them from a regular bookstore.
