Chef WorksWomen's Modern Oxford Classic Shirt

I had high hopes for this because another reviewer stated that she has a 36DDD and it fit her perfectly. I have a larger bust than that, but still I hoped it would fit much better. I used the measurements given on the chart.The shoulders are too wide and the sleevecap is extremely high, making it tight across the arms when I attempt to raise my arm high enough to drive the car. The back rides up a little bit and has horizontal folds along the waistline. There is a ton of extra fabric above the bust making folds along the shoulders. The bust is very snug and gaps slightly. That being said, there's plenty of room in the waist and hips, and the collar fits acceptably.I really hope it does not shrink when I put it in the wash since the length is the only part that's perfect, and sometimes when things shrink they become narrower which would make this too small in the bust to fit. Some of the folds along the bust and gaping armholes indicate that the princess seam dart could have been much deeper.

Has a nice fit, is breathable, is a nice color, is made of a good fabric as well! I honestly am shocked by how well this shirt is! As someone who is always working on the line, I NEEDED this shirt! The breathability is unworldly!

I have been on a quest to find the perfect white, collared, button down blouse. This one came so . . . close.While I am not a chef, I thought this would be the perfect Oxford blouse to add to my wardrobe. It should be a staple in every woman's closet. I was excited when I saw this, because after much trial and error with white blouses and the crazy sizing, I thought I had found it. This one just missed the mark.I ordered a large, which is my usual size in most clothing. I had previously ordered a similar blouse in XL, and it was HUGE on me, so I thought this would work for me. Nope. As with many button front blouses, it gaps around my chest (size 38D), and is too tight.Otherwise, it is the perfect blouse. The length is just right, the sleeves are the perfect length, and I don't even mind the chest pocket, which might actually be practical.My suggestion is to order a size up in this blouse and you just might find it perfect.

Every woman should have this shirt in her closet. It is PERFECT. Every shirt maker should use this shirt as an example of how to make shirts for WOMEN. I wear a size 16, 36DDDD. This is the FIRST shirt I have bought off the rack that fits me exactly with zero tailoring, zero gapping, and that is both fitted and flattering. I also love the sleeve length which makes it possible to work in a kitchen, or anywhere, without getting the cuffs all dirty. The fabric is beautiful and high quality. The stitching is excellent and likely to last forever. I hesitated with the size chart because as anyone reading this knows, size charts are insane. This one tells the truth and the extra large fit me exactly as the size chart said it would. And the POCKET! The pocket is actually USEFUL. I am not a chef but apparently I should start shopping for chef's clothing because this is better than most of the executive-style shirts I've purchased over the years. I want one in every color.

This shirt is well done in many ways. The fabric feels nice, the lines are clean, and the stitching is great. But then I ran into problems.I sized up because I had a feeling it might run a bit small, plus button down shirts rarely leave enough room for women up top. Through the mid section it fell between just right and a bit of extra room but the arms were much smaller by comparison. Because of this it made the chest area not fit right, especially if I moved my arms around. If I were wearing this while cooking and moving around a kitchen it would be incredibly annoying and uncomfortable.The other issue is how transparent it was. The fabric felt somewhat thick when I took it out of the package so I was surprised I could see everything underneath very clearly, even the tattoo on my upper arm. An undershirt will take care of covering up but not the tattoo, plus I didn’t expect it to be so completely see through by the feel of the fabric. It’s also barely tailored for women at all. The waist might dip in a little bit if so it’s hard to tell. Another thing that wouldn’t be a deal breaker if it wasn’t for the other issues.So unfortunately this shirt isn’t going to work for me. I could handle the transparency but not being able to move my arms around freely without pulling on the chest isn’t workable. It’s too bad because it’s made with quality materials and good craftsmanship, but a few flaws in the pattern and choice of fabric made it a hard pass from me.

This ¾ sleeve oxford shirt from Chef Works is very nice. It is well constructed, fits well and easy to move in. The princess seams make it very flattering. It washes and dries well. It does need a light pressing after taking it out of the dryer. I included a photo of how it looks directly out of the dryer. It is not too bad, but not professional without ironing. The shirt tails are long on me. I must tuck the shirt in, but it stays tucked in. The fabric is not completely opaque. It is fine with a plain nude bra. I do not feel the need to were a camisole, but I also will be sticking with plain nude bras when I wear this shirt. Overall, it is a nice comfy shirt. For reference, I am 5’4”, 145 lbs. and wear a 36D bra. I got a large and it has enough extra room for me to move comfortably, but it still looks fitted.

Love this shirt! The material is cool and comfortable and the style is flattering. I’m not a chef but I feel like one in this shirt.

I loved this shirt -- out of the bag it fit me just perfectly, but after a first washing prior to wearing (low-temp warm, and a lower drying temp) it did shrink enough that it is too tight on me. Great feeling material, nice flattering cut. Be sure to size up if you order this!
