D'AddarioGuitar Strings - Pro-Arte Classical Guitar Strings - EJ49 - Nylon Guitar Strings - Silver Plated Wound, Black Nylon Core - Normal Tension

These strings have simply brought my Ibanez to life. I've never restrung a classical guitar before and was a fraction wary, but after the first string went on things began to make sense.I'm used to ball ended metal strings and these are strings and nothing more, not even a preformed loop. If, like me, you are a little cautious of restringing with a length of nylon, I suggest one string at a time (I normally work this way in any case) and use the remaining old strings as a model for the twists at the saddle, it's easy after the first one.The black nylon looks good and the strings have excellent balance between the nylon and wound, the old ones seemed to let the wound strings dominate over the nylon and these have solved that problem. Tension is normal and playing is a delight, easy even with barres. I've recently had a twinge at the base of the left thumb after a session, but no such problem with the D'Addarios.Good, professional quality strings from one of the most reputable companies in the guitar world that won't break the bank.

I wanted black nylon to contrast with my light colour fingerboard and these work well. Very good intonation and they quickly hold good tune. Slightly higher tension than the Adagio strings before but they feel good and sound good.Update October 2019:I am on my second set and very impressed with how well they last. I will stay with EJ49 from now on, as they are the best strings for me.

I bought these instead of the black nylon flamenco ones as my style of playing is bit of mix of flamenco, latin and classical. Does sound nice on all of the styles! Will take few days to settle the strings to stay in tune, but at moment Im not playing that much - to me settling time is similar to any other strings. The black nylons are simply gorgeus!! I got a previous pack installed on my electro acoustic Yamaha AEX (thin neck rare one) and the sound through the amp is brilliant. Recommended

I just receive this set of strings from Amazon and started to restring my guitar only to found E string was missing when I was halfway stringing the guitar. When I opened the sealed bag I did not notice that string was missing. D'addario is a reputable brand so I would never think something like that could happen. And now I'm unable to play my guitar until new set of strings is bought. I'm so disappointed.
