Hmmmm... after this company's previous decks I bought ("Night Sky" and "Amazing Sights") and being very happy with the overall product. While still a great value and consistent in production quality, this, in my opinion, is a bit of a miss. While, I was surprised at the previous two decks being oversized, this one equally surprised me by being standard poker size. Why, if not the others? Also, while both "Night Sky" and "Amazing Sights" showed new info/pictures on every card, this deck reuses 13 images for the playing cards and one image for both jokers... which in my opinion is a bit lazy. Hasn't the photographer taken more than 14 interesting images of the Northern Lights? And if he hasn't, maybe the publisher should find a new author/photographer. Also, most pics are of green/blue hues, but one or two red/oranges (not as common) would've broken the samey-ness of the images. The quality is on par with the other decks, but the execution falls a but short. For someone who grew up in a northern climate, it's just kinda meh. Not terrible, but not as awe-inspiring as it could have been. I gave 3 stars as it's just not a 4 for me.
