I do a lot of woodworking. Most of it requires finish. I have been using rattle can Polyurethane in the past. But it's pretty expensive. I've never used an HVLP sprayer before, and an still working on the best setup. I was concerned about cleaning the sprayer, since most of my projects are small, and it would take longer to clean the sprayer than to actually use the sprayer. My solution so far is to only use water based Polyurethane. When I finish spraying, I simply load the sprayer with a small amount of water, and spray it until it's empty. So far that seems to work pretty well.

Great spray gun for the price! I’m not a painter by trade so I didn’t want to spend $300 on a paint gun but I wanted a good finish. I was able to set this up and spray a perfect finish with it. Seems to be good quality and comes with three spray tips.

This is the bombdiggidy as far as HVLP goes if you want to spray raptor bed liner. I tried the purple gun and modifying it. Not the best luck. The 2.0 tip on this works great. Keep it clean and it does pretty well. It is cheap so once it does clog no big deal. It sprays a good pattern as well

I work mostly with hard wood tops (mostly table tops) and apply polyurethane finish with a spraying gun to avoid brush marks. Poly urethane is pretty hard to clean after use but this sprayer is of metal with no coating and it is easier to remove and clean with lacquer paint thinner. Spray patters is full and no sputtering!

We bought these paint guns for various projects around the shop. I use one with the 2.0 cap as a primer gun and have been using it a few years. Also have used another with the 1.4 cap and it does well spraying single stage paints.

Good gun for smaller projects or a diy project. So far no odd leaks spray pattern is smaller than I like but ok very comfortable in hand and decent atomization.

Wow! That is the word that best describes this gun. I have a half dozen guns of various types and sizes, several of which were much more expensive. My favorite gun used to be my HF Black Widow, but it is acting up so I pulled this one out and had to use it instead. I purchased this gun solely to spray a dining table I was refinishing thinking it was smaller and quality wasn’t as important but it was cheap enough if the nitrocellulose lacquer messed it up. I could not have been more impressed at its versatility. I sprayed the table in nitro a couple months ago and this weekend I painted a hood, fender and bumper for my son’s car. I used it for 2k high-build primer/sealer, base coat, and clear. Not bad results for a hack painter in a dusty garage. The hood was first and I wasn’t familiar enough with the clear to truly let it wet out and I had a little orange peel, but that was my apprehension and not the gun’s fault. I would rather have a little peel than runs. Once I got comfortable, this thing could atomize it well enough for glass.
