We have tried all of Dr. Davis strains - this one has a gently slightly sweet taste along with the health benefits. My personal favorite. I have had consistently good results making the yogurt with this.

Bacillus subtilis is a good citizen of the microbiome in your gut. It plays well with the other beneficial microbes and pumps out vitamin K2, a very important vitamin that has benefits to cardiovascular and bone health. This microbe feeds on the prebiotics in your digestive tract and releases the most desirable form of vitamin K2, the MK7 form, which stays in your system longer than the other forms of vitamin K2 and, therefore, has a greater effect. The health benefits of vitamin K2 MK7 come from its ability to transport excess calcium from soft tissues, where it should not be, and sending the calcium to the bones and teeth, where it is needed. This reduces the risk of hardening of the arteries and soft tissue calcium deposits while simultaneously reducing the risk of osteoporosis by transporting calcium to where it is needed in the bones and teeth. This product is priced competitively and has a more than ample dosage of live bacillus subtilis. The formulation includes a dose of the prebiotic fiber inulin, which will nourish the bacillus subtilis and help it get established, so it can provide a steady output of MK7 into your system from within. I like the fact that the recommended use is just one capsule per day, in the morning, as I take a stack of supplements and like to take as few pills as possible. I have found this product to have no negative effect on digestion, the price is very good and the bottle contains a two month supply. I will reorder,

I use these for making DIY fermentation foods. For a low cost probiotic, I’ve had excellent success with sugar water and fermented dairy “Yogurt.” Some separation, even with extremely thorough mixing on the first batch, no issue with subsequent batches. The reason I didn’t give five stars is because the manufacturer does not state any specifics about the strain (Subtilis.) If you’re making yogurt with any sub-strain of Subtilis, note that it does not break down lactose and does not prefer inulin, so I add potato starch or sugar instead. (The best food source would be Soy Protein Isolate). Funny that the MFG adds inulin to the capsules instead of a more suitable prebiotic. But it still drops the pH enough to thicken dairy nicely for a creamy yogurt texture. I experienced very obvious positive Microbiome effects as well.

I’ve appreciated everything I’ve go from this brand. I’ve gotten everything that Dr Davis recommends but through this brand and they work perfectly. The sibo yogurt is the most incredible, tasty yogurt. I can only do a max of 12 hours for this yogurt before it starts to separate.

This company refuses to post the probiotic strain on their label. This is essential when wanting to use the best probiotic strains. They do not have a phone number listed on their label, no contact phone number on the website and several customers complaining they are not getting a response including myself. Amazon needs to take this company off their website. do not buy this product!!!!!

I've been using it in addition to other cultures to culture milk into yogurt. It does not work by itself to do the job and I use it as a healthy addition to grow in the milk culture as it's reportedly good for the immune system!
