I purchased several of these little kits on Amazon for a women’s weekend getaway with my small group. I was thinking this might be fun for late evenings together while we sat around chatting. They looked simple enough for someone who is a complete beginner to try it out.I see people selling adorable embroidered pillows and bags and so many things these days that it just made me think, OK ladies used to embroider all the time. Why can’t we figure out how to do that again now?We had so much fun with these. It took a few hours to complete. Every single thing you need is in the kit. The only thing I would recommend adding is a sharp pair of scissors and also a needle threader if you’re on the older side of life like me and your eyes no longer want to help you fit that thread through the eye of the needle.There was a QR code to take you to their you tube tutorials to learn the different types of stitches. Our group of all ages were easily able to understand and follow the directions.

This is easily my new hobby. I love the written instructions that pair with videos to give a clear instruction on what to do. Very fun and I love displaying the finished product.

I love this cross stitching. I’m not great at it, but you can’t even tell where my mistakes are (it’s very forgiving). Not sure what to do with the stand as it really won’t work to display but very fun, good quality, ease of use, and very pretty. The instructions are easy as well. Only complaint is the cost and the stand. But overall great purchase!

I wanted to be crafty without feeling overwhelmed. This did require me to watch youTube videos to understand the types of stitches to place but the videos were short, well done and easy to understand. This project has allowed me to create a gift made with my hands, not take too much time and send a meaningful message. Well crafted and arrived exactly as described with everything I needed to complete the project. Plenty of thread. Highly recommend. I would say its for the repeat beginners. You need a basic understanding of needle, thread and stitches to understand the videos and threads.

I’m so disappointed in this kit. At the price I paid I expected Dmc floss but received cheap floss that continues to knot up, is fuzzy and is not smooth at all. I also expected stitch how to in the enclosed paperwork (you must scan a code to watch it on YouTube), the design its very small (see photo) and I wasn’t able to use the provided hoop as it has wood splinters, some tiny embedded metal pieces and gummy stuff over it (see photo). I have purchased cheap (a fraction of this kit) from other sites and I would say this kit is not even equal to those. So disappointing!

I like this very well. However, the instructions began with filling in the sky with blues. There are three, but apparently I was supposed to use only two. Who knew. There was no mention of the white floss in the instructions, but the picture looks like white is in the sunrise. Very confusing. I would not say this is for a beginner at all. However, I do like this. I've stitched two for Christmas gifts.
