A Gem of a Book for Any Age
This collection of wit and wisdom about navigating life would be a perfect gift for women in their twenties, but it also reads great for us older folks who’ve been through those times and are reminded of all we’ve learned and are still learning.I’ve followed Andrew on Instagram for about a year, so I thought I would’ve seen all the artwork, but with over 180 pages of drawings, there’s many here I’ve never seen. Plus, they look even better in full-sized prints. There’s also thirteen illustrated essays that run four pages each, covering everything from travel and milestones to finding your style. The artwork is grouped into chapters covering topics like Overcoming Uncertainty and Creating Home, and there’s lots of insights on all the ups and downs of dating, changing jobs, and moving to a new city. There's great bits of humor, and it's also inspiring in how she gained strength and maturity from even the worst moments of grief and confusion. The book itself couldn’t be presented better. The cover has a great texture, the endpapers are painted with watercolor brushstrokes, the pages are thick so the artwork doesn’t show through, the colors are vibrant, and the font for the essays has a stylish flair.

Delightful and Insightful Read at any age
This book will bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye. With signature authenticity, Andrew relates her version of the human experience with style and levity. The essays are well written and interesting, and the drawings sometimes deep, fun, or mostly a well executed intersection of the two. I highly recommend this book! It is also a high quality publication and great to have on the coffee table, my guests love picking it up and looking through it.

Great book as a gift too
I already own this book but I got another one as a gift for my sister who is younger than me and has anxiety and is a bit lost. She doesn’t read but appreciates silly humor and drawings. This is a great book to inspire and let the reader know it’s all going to be fine. Her illustrations are literally amazing and they are all so introspective and fascinating. Life takes us up and down and sideways and this book shows it all, with hope. I know my hard to please sister loved it.

Wonderful
Started following Mari on Instagram a while back and really enjoyed her illustrations. I am 22 and after experiencing my first heartbreak (the end of a 6.5 year relationship) I noticed how much her Instagram posts started to either relate to me or brighten my day when I was feeling down. At a very tough/confusing time in my life where I felt as though all of my future plans were suddenly erased and a huge part of my identity was now gone, this book made me feel optimistic. Maybe it is because of Mari's own optimism in hard situations, maybe it is just her positive outlook and examples of her fun adventures that give me hope to have my own fun adventures, but mostly I think a lot of it is knowing that I am not alone in this. Adult life is weird and difficult and wonderful all at once for everybody. This book is a great reminder of that. Highly recommend (to everyone - not just those of us who are experiencing a hard time).

Received a misprinted copy
I am a big fan of the author and I love her Instagram. I pre-ordered this book and received it...upside down! The printing and binding was a mess. The cover and insides were printed in two different directions. Inside was upside down. Some texts and pictures were cut off. Amazon gave me a refund and offered to send a replacement book but I declined. I live overseas and couldn't take the disappointment of two misprinted books. From what I can see the book is great though.

Funny, honest and delightful
I love Mari Andrew's Instagram and I was so excited to preorder her book. It is actually a lot longer and has more pages/ illustrations than I thought it would be, which was such a nice surprise. I have followed her illustration work for a bit but I had no idea that she was such a talented writer too. The essays are so refreshing, and the way she has divided the book up into different topics is really lovely. As someone who is about to graduate college and embark on a first job/live in a new city, I have found Mari's perspective so delightful and helpful. I've also shared her work with other friends my age and everyone who I've shown the book to has said that they want a copy of their own. This would make an excellent gift for people who are still figuring out things in their 20s or even a long distance best friend.

Very relateable topics with beautiful heart felt illustrations and inspiring words.I follow this author on Instagram. She is a true and rare gem in this world. Her Illustrations are images of poetry. She is a fantastic observer and a heart opening interpreter of the human experience. I'm so glad to have this book to refer to when ever I need feel inspired or to have a good laugh or cry.

Beautiful and relatable - fantastic
I can confidently say this is one of the best books I've come across. Mari's ability to be so honest about life (the good, the bad, the ugly) makes it so easy to relate and literally makes me think "I thought I was the only one that ever felt that way, but I'm so glad I'm not." I've never read a book I've resonated with more or that gave me such perspective on any of my struggles on my own zigzagging journey. In addition to being a great illustrator, Mari also surprised me in being a fantastic writer - it's like reading a book by a best friend written just for you. Love love love it!
