I am thrilled with my decision to purchase the SF-B2721 Comfort XL Folding Recumbent Bike by Sunny Health and Fitness, and plan to keep up my weight loss (I’m working on it - have lost 37 just prior to getting this bike) while strengthening my legs! I am an avid Amazon shopper and have not been asked to do this review. I just wanted to reach out to handicapped, obese and/or elderly people like me that have no idea what to buy when shopping for an exercise bike on a small budget.I am trying to figure out why there is only one review on this gem. Come on folks – it’s adjustable from an upright bike to a semi-recumbent bike (a bike you can sort of lean back in) – where else can you get this, especially at this price? So, I am also going to lay out (among other things) my physical status out below, much to my embarrassment, so that you can easily determine whether this is the bike for you.Assembly: EASY. My husband helped hold the frame while I put the stand on both feet/stands. I didn’t need him after that. I did the whole thing myself. Just follow the instructions. Probably took me 45 minutes but I was just relaxing and taking my time, the whole time sitting comfortably on my sofa. NOTE: I did not attach the handles/grips that attach around the seat. My butt is much bigger than the seat and I knew that would just be in the way - that I would probably be sitting ON those side bars. If I ever shrink to a small enough size, I will add it the way it was intended to be used.Mounting the bike: First off, I am somewhere between 5’3 and 5’4” tall. I have a short inseam, probably like 26”, maybe less. I am a 64 year old female who is 250 lbs, who has had TWO full knee replacements. I never did adequate rehab after my surgeries so I have a terrible range of motion in both knees. I cannot lift my leg over the frame to get onto the bike without assistance, but I don’t mean from my husband. I figured out that if I place the back of a chair close to the bike and brace myself on it, I can swing my right leg up high enough to get onto the bike with minimal effort. Once I’m up there, I’m good to go. Also, it has a 300 lb. weight limit, and it feels pretty darn solid. I don’t feel like it’s going to tip over when mounting.Performance: The bike is QUIET. Both the manual controls and the digital monitor are uncomplicated. I am very comfortable cycling on this machine, even with my poor range of motion. Pedaling is extremely smooth and easy.Comfort: I haven’t used it long enough (just got it yesterday 4/19/18) to know how comfortable the seat is yet. I did purchase the only gel seat cover on Amazon that looks to have the exact same shape and it was expensive. I purchased it just in case the seat starts feeling hard after several minutes. Will update this review regarding fit and comfort enhancement level once I receive it. Update on seat cover. A bit larger than the seat but matches shape of seat perfectly and the fact that you tighten it with the cord allows you to make it so tight that it stays exactly where you want it. It is not overly large for the seat. Highly recommend. We have a tiny apartment and I dreaded the thought of having to lug it into the bedroom if and when company came over. Ha! It’s so light that I can move it myself without even using the front wheels. I have a herniated disc in my back so that’s saying a lot. It looks cool because it takes up such a small space in our living room (faced toward the TV of course!). I have not folded it up yet for any type of storage but I doubt that I will store it much. The whole point is to keep it in my face to remind me to actually use it.Just get it. Can’t beat it.Update: Used a few times now and it’s just perfect.

The bike came partially assembled well packaged to prevent damage. Upon opening the box it was easy to see care was taken in packing and all items were well protected. The instructions and bolts were sealed in plastic. The bolts and screws were sealed in packets labeled with which step they were for. This matched the instructions. Not only easy to see that all pieces were present but also very easy to assemble following the clear step by step instructions. The only tools you need are provided in the package. Assembly did not require extra hands or bizarre contortions to get things to fit while screwing it together. Straight forward for a single person to put together. From delivery receipt to first use took about 25 minutes.The bike is stable and sturdy, and all 3 use positions. It also folds an additional amount for storage. I did find the wheels were not very helpful but the bike is light enough to just move. It is rated to 300 lbs and I think that is probably pretty accurate. The seat has a thick firm cushion, comfort level is ok and I suspect it will break in a bit after use. The bike is so very quiet, seriously quiet. I was concerned about noise bothering my downstairs neighbors but no worries. The electronic panel is your basic info with an auto off after 4 minutes of no use. The heart rate monitor data matched the info on my Garmin Vivo Heartsmart watch. It is quite easy to adjust both seat height and bike position, both are adjusted with a turn and pull on an adjustment knob. A dial by the handle bars provides a quick tension adjustment. I did find tension was hardly noticeable until you hit 7, levels 8, 9, and 10 did require more effort. I found the tension levels available to be plenty. However, if you are one used to using commercial gym bikes set to high tension settings this may not be enough for you. A note about getting on and off, I did not find any issue when using the recumbent or mid setting. Using the full upright setting the bike was a bit trickier to get on and off since I have some range of motion issues. Using a step stool resolved that. Also note that I am 5'8" and I use this bike at the highest seat setting. It is comfortable to use. The bike was so damage severely that metal was vents so they cannot attach to each other to assemble and the paint was chipped in multiple places and one of the wheels was cracked. It came in a dirty damaged box that was re taped up all over the place. It just seems like I was sent someone else’s return. It’s going to take a month to get my money back. Who ever has my money gets to make interest off it as I wait for my money back. Good to know the customer is the one who inconvenienced for time, money, and effort. Never again. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Los primeros meses no tuve problemas, funcionó todo bien sin embargo a los 9 meses comenzó a hacer ruido como si algo raspara por dentro, revisé a través de la ventanilla y la bandas están muy desgastadas, demasiado para el tiempo y el uso no intenso que le doy (la uso para recuperación y fortalecimiento de una lesión de rodilla), me comuniqué a soporte de la marca y me dijeron que no dan soporte a México ni pueden mandar refacciones a México, es una lastima el producto en apariencia no es malo pero no duró ni un año.

Great bike for the price! It is sturdy, comfortable, and fairly easy to assemble. It took me about an hour to put it together, but I wasn't in a rush and read the instructions thoroughly. I recommend putting it together on carpet or a sheet so it doesn't slide around while tightening bolts. I've used it every day for about three weeks, and I am quite impressed by it. The side bars are surprisingly useful, as is the water bottle holder on the back of the seat. So far, everything works well, and is super quiet. Also, it doesn't take up much space, which is awesome for apartment living. If you want a bike with really high resistance, this might not be the bike for you. I switch between 7 and 8 (out of 10) for resistance and am happy with it. I bought it because I'm looking to get in better shape and enjoy my workouts. This bike is definitely helping achieve both goals :)

Fantastic value for money.Easy to assemble.Silent and comfy to sit on.I did an hour on it today without having to suffer any discomfort.I feel great having had a good workout.I took it easy ,chose an easy resistance for the first session.Onwards and upwards.I hope to get fitter,healthier and lighter.
