Leitz73681023 iLam A4 Laminator, Ideal for Home Office, Wow - Metallic Pink

This is a home laminator and in contrast to other reviews, I disagree with the comment that this is heavy and cumbersome.This laminator replaces a machine I bought for a fiver in a supermarket sale 10 years ago. This Leitz is head and shoulders above the previous model.It beeps on switching on and takes just over 3 minutes to reach temperature. The LED changes colour from red to green and emits a peep when ready. The self feed is very smooth and the speed of lamination is standard and similar to the 2 other machines I have used.The quality of the laminated sheet is what stands this out from other machines. The results are faultless and without any ridges or bubbles. Using the same pouches in my 2 machines, the results from the Leitz are hugely more professional and smooth than the cheaper model.The colour is funky. It is not too heavy. The top of the machine gets warm but not hot. It is very quiet (not silent) and has 2 settings depending on the thickness of the laminating pouches you are using. You do NOT need to use Leitz pouches to get good results.So all in all, this is a great home laminator. Compact enough to store at home. Hardy enough to promise to give many years of service I am sure.Recommended

Used to laminate 12 sheets of A4 80gsm paper in 125micron laminating pouches and the last 3 failed to seal as the machine stopped heating. It's been kept stored after use when fully cooled in its box and has been taken out twice from new (arrived on 14th Aug 2017, it's now the 3rd September). Not impressed, especially as it is built to a good standard for the sub £40 price tag. When working it produced a great result, it's a shame it failed so soon. Amazon return window seemingly closes one month after purchase and don't have any means of supplying details of the products warranty support, so I have emailed the uk supplier and await their reply.Update: After dealing with the Leitz customer services, I've decided to rate this product as I would have done in its working condition: this is as a direct result of my communication with the support team and the level of professionalism they demonstrated. I hope that my instance of a failed unit is a very isolated one because, as mentioned before this update, the unit is a great value item and worked very well before the fault. Hope this gives confidence or helps with others considering this product.

Every thing works as expected, the last one we bought was an unknown Chinese brand, that lasted about 2 months before the plastic cogs inside stripped their teethSo far this one feels better made with better quality materials, but only time will tell so hence the 4 star rating, if it lasts another 6 months trouble free then the star rating can be upped to 5

When it arrived I thought it looked small - would it work? I was so pleased when I used it. It warms up super quick and laminates fantastically(I use 125 pouches) I cannot believe how good this is - not expensive but works like I have paid a fortune for it. Compact and so easy to use. There is a switch on the back so that you can select your grade of pouches.

Ordered using the English version of Amazon, delivered to a UK address, the product code is even the UK version (not the EU one). HOWEVER when I opened the box it had a 2-pin plug. No mention of this in the description or in any UK reviews and many European reviews complained they received this product with a UK 3-pin plug so perhaps Amazon have switched their supply chain. Contacted Customer Services using the online chat who tried to sell me an adaptor with 30% discount - I just want a laminator I can plug in at home and use - not have to shell out more money for additional accessories to make it work! Had to return the product, not a positive buying experience Amazon. The Customer Service rep said they would take my feedback onboard and ensure this didn't happen again. Whether this translates into them amending the description to better inform future customers, time will tell.

Heats up quite quickly, use alot of times now and no problems

At the Amazon price this is a reasonably recommendable buy for home use, but I would DEFINITELY look elsewhere if required to pay the rrp. That price strikes me as a joke!I've had varied results, bending, orange-peeling and problems with air pockets so I find I approach use with some trepidation if using a document or item I cannot readily replace. I think one needs a bit more reliability really with this kind of item.The starter pack seems a bit mean too!

La plastificatrice è ottima, il tempo di accensione dichiarato è di tre minuti ma è molto meno(forse perché in questi giorni ci sono 40 gradi). Viene fornita con 5 pouches da 80 micron in formato a4(un pochino più grandi 216mmX303mm). Ho comprato un usato come nuovo a soli €14,37 quindi con uno sconto superiore all' 80% sul prezzo di listino, quindi un prezzo ridicolo ,ma onestamente vale i suoi €80 e passa la qualità c'è e si vede. Unico aspetto negativo è che ha una spina di tipo inglese, fortunatamente avevo un adattatore da viaggio ed ho subito risolto il problema.

E' la prima plastificatrice che uso. Compatta ed elegante., mi sembra xrò un po' lenta nella lavorazione dei documenti. I fogli li salda uniformemente e per ora non si sono mai inceppati.
