Acrylic Waterfall

Unfortunately I dismantled my pond before I got to install this. Maybe I'll get it going again one of these days. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of this fountain weir. I think it will work really well for my small pond when I get it going again.

The flow is nice and the clear top is attractive.

The media could not be loaded. Works great. Purchased optional light too.Included plumbing connections are worthless for USA. Thank goodness US standard connections fit into unit and you can plumb like normal.

I replaced the cheap all in one that the installer put in. The original had a flimsy led strip that was like scotch tape and failed after a few months. The original also had 2 inlets (this has one which is easier to install plus the waterfall is much stronger)This unit has a separate light bar (sold separately) which is much better quality plus it has an app to change the light colors. I purchased an extra light bar so I don't have to worry about it failing and a replacement is impossible to obtain.

The package came with the wrong size fittings for the two inlet ports. Interestingly, the plug that came with the unit fit fine. Instead of returning it, I tried to find an alternative fitting at Home Depot but the female threads in the unit are non standard threads. I'm out of luck and hope the seller will respond by sending me the right fittings. Otherwise I will return the entire unit. I'm very disappointed.

Assembly is straight-forward, but one should assemble like this. Throw away the vinyl tape that came with this. Buy a better quality, thicker and less likely to tangle, tape to cover the threads of the inlet pipe and the plug. Roll 5 times around the threads. Get some pipe "dope" and cover the taped threads. This will ensure a leak-proof seal. I purchased these items at our local Ace Hardware.Absolutely beautiful waterfall with no leaks.

The media could not be loaded. I have purchased three LONGRUN Fountains with some success and failure. So, I’m both satisfied and disappointed. The first unit I purchased was the 12” stainless steel unit. It is shown in Video 2. Works great. I purchased the LED separately and it did not work. I check in before mounting to the waterfall. The company sent a replacement which has operated for over a month. The second waterfall I purchased was a 12” acrylic combination unit with the LED. This unit comes with the top enclosed and supported by small plastic supports creating a tube-like affect. I would not recommend this unit. If the water contains any particles the collect on these supports causing the water flow to separate. The only way it will work is to highly filter the water. I first tried to cut the supports using a saber saw. Some success but still created a water flow problem, I also installed a flow valve to help it properly function. Finally, out of frustration I took a grinder and removed the top acrylic exposing the fountain the same as the stainless units. Works great now as shown in video 3. Just purchase the stainless-steel units. The third water fall units is 24” and works fine as show in video 1 I purchased the LED separately and fail after a few days. Quickly replaced and is now working as expected. The fountains are a nice addition to my landscape, just stay away from the acrylic unit.
