Fun slide!!
We didn't get this on Amazon because we found a better sale price elsewhere, but I just wanted to write a review here because I always check Amazon before I buy things like this. We wanted a slide to add to our homemade tree house and ended up with this one. I think it seems very sturdy and high quality. It took some effort to bolt both pieces of the slide together but it fit nicely and the holes line up like they are supposed to. Once it's together the seam in the middle seems to have no effect on the kids as they slide down which I was worried about. The curve is deep with nice big sides so the kids slide down with no worries of going off the sides. I like the bottom of the slide too because it is up off the ground but it isn't an abrupt drop off like some slides. We have it at a perfect angle so the kids slide down and don't fall off at the bottom. They tried forwards and backwards and on their knees and tummys and always stopped before falling off the bottom so I am very happy! It seems like a very safe slide for my daredevil children. It's bigger than I expected but it seems to be the perfect length for my 5 and 3 year olds. Getting a good angle will make the difference. If we had it up higher it would be steeper but I like it how it is now, probably a little less than 4 ft from the ground. Like I said it's perfect for the kids so they don't go too fast but they don't need to push themselves down either. The only problem with our angle is that a puddle pools at the bottom when it rains but we will just have to keep a towel around to dry it off if we want to use it soon after a rainstorm. My father helped install it and the only issue he said was that the screws holding it down seemed like they should be longer but it's fine for now and we can always replace those in the future if the slide shows signs of being loose. I am around 130lbs and I went down it just fine to test it out and it is very sturdy! I'm glad we chose this slide.

Pretty good slide - bit hard to assemble
So I read all the reviews and a lot of the reviews talked about how hard this was to put together because the holes didn't line up correctly. Well I have to say that those reviews that said that were right. However, I figured out how to get the holes to line up and that was putting the "back" bolts in first. Once you put the back bolts, 1 on top 1 on bottom or left/right, then all the other holes lined up. The only problem after that was getting the plastic together enough to get the washer on then the nut. To fix this I put the nut on and tighten it then took the nut back off and it gave me enough space to put the washer on and just enough to start the nut. I did this with all the bolts and it was easy. Just wish I did that first and not tried 20 minutes of different ways to try and push the plastic together. I do have to say now that it is together and it is attached to my kids playhouse it looks great, it feels sturdy, and the kids love it. Great product once you can get it up. My kids deck of the playhouse is 4' 3" high and this still fits perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a heavy duty slide just make sure you take the advise above to put it together.

Great slide, but some pointers really helps.
Three big things about this slide: 1. Putting the screws in is awful, until you figure out the trick to it. Ignore the instructions on the screws putting the two big pieces together. None of them are going to play nice. Put a bolt with its washer through your best hole that's not being a jerk and without the nut washer. Put the nut on and screw it together until it's tight, then unscrew the nut, put the washer on and finish that one. It will stay in place while you do it this way. The instructions are way too optimistic about it fitting together cleanly, but doing it like this will save you 20 minutes. 2. They don't include the screws to connect it to the deck or the buried 2x4. I wasted at least half an hour in the hardware store and two employee's time trying to find those exact screws, which not only didn't exist at Lowes, but the slide doesn't actually need in that precision. Four fat head wood screws for the mounting to the deck, and whatever you want to mount it to the buried 4x4 is fine. 3. It says it's for four feet height, but this is a very fast slide. The first time my daughter (a month before three years old) went down it at four feet, she bounced twice on the ground before coming to a stop. We had to make a special lower deck for the slide, and even then you have to plant your feet and absorb the stop or brace for impact and try to run through it. Even adults get off that and exclaim they didn't expect to come out so fast. Four feet height is dangerous, five is asking for injury. All that said, I'm very pleased with it. There's a very popular green playground tarp on Amazon, Home Depot, and Walmart that we got and with some clips at the top That makes an excellent slide cover to keep the mid-day blazing sun from making the slide unusable. Once it's installed, you'll be glad you got it.
