Works great!
Helps to go from sitting to standing, as long as it is wedged under something or if I stand on one of the legs Lightweight, sturdy, comfortable on the hands, too. Don't know what I'd do without it!

Solid, stable, easy to assemble. Exactly what we needed. Helpful.
Purchased for elderly family member who needed a little extra leverage when getting up from the sofa. This bar is exactly right for this purpose and has proved very helpful. It snapped together pretty easily, is relatively lightweight and quite stable. Very satisfied and would recommend.

Highly recommend this item.
The quality is outstanding. We had anticipated another mobility assist equipment that would've been heavy and clumsy. To our surprise it serves as a lightweight and maneuverable assist item for a elderly person with serious mobility challenges. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I am 76 yr old female and assembled it in minutes.

Chair stand assist
It arrive quickly. It was easy to put together. It looks nice, lightweight easy to move it around with one hand. My 89 year old dad was happy to get it. It will help him get out of his recliner. It could be used as a cane/walker around his small apartment.

It's... fine
For those with more upper body strength than stability, this could provide a convenient method to get up and down into chairs or beds (or simply to keep handy for stability in front of the bathroom sink or dressing area). It's lightweight, easy to move and seems pretty stable. That said, it was more trouble than you'd expect to assemble, especially as it's simply made up of a few light metal tubes held together by bolts. It's hard to put a price on mobility, and this model seems to be priced in line with other similar units (all of which seem a little high to me), so if you THINK it might work for you, it may be worth a try.

It’s very sturdy.
I bought this for balance when I stand up from sitting in my chair. It works great it is very sturdy and gives me a minute to balance before I start to walk.

Not for anyone who has compromised knees
I had such high hopes for this HEPO Portable Chair Stand Assist. When I ordered it there were a few 5 star ratings so I ordered it for my father-in-law thinking it could work.I opened the box hoping to put it together myself, took one look at the instructions and handed it off to my husband. I am good at putting things together but the instructions were confusing. There were letters and pictures of screws, but the screws were already assembled, so taking inventory was confusing. There were so many letters in the alphabet saying to connect this to that and that to this. It could have been written MUCH easier.Tonight we took it to my in-laws apartment and my father-in-law was not able to use it. He has bad knees and no matter what level we had it on he just couldn’t get the strength to pick himself up using it. I even brought a higher chair into the room and he also struggled using it with the chair. My husband, who is 32 years younger than his father, and also has knee issues was not able to get up from a couch using the chair assist.I would not recommend this chair assist if your loved one has knee issues. If their knees function properly then it may be worthwhile to try, but not if they have compromised knees.
