Overall Great Product to Protect your E-Bike
So I saw this online a while ago but at the time it was not available in the US. Well now it is, and I have to say I like this product. Here are some things you should know before buying one though. The tracking app works well. I have been testing it for weeks now, and after charging it for 2 hours, it's at 80% battery now after a couple of weeks us usage. The GPS is very accurate. Every 10 minutes or so the app updates the location of the bike in standard mode when your moving around. you can see the history of where the bike has been over the past few days. It saves battery by not sending updates unless the bike moves. the device uses GPS, Bluetooth, and LTE/5G to triangulate where the bike is. Pretty neat! Now for some downsides. The US unit does not come with USB-C. Instead, there is this special cable that you must use to hook it up and get it working that uses charging pins. What this means is you must keep track of that charging cable. Lose it and you are out of luck as there are no replacements available. The website for this device is not current. They only show the Euro version of this device, and there are no accessories available for the North American version. Finally the notifications are not as crisp as you might expect. If the bike moves the system wakes up and you might get a notification in a few seconds or a few minutes. It's not very quick unless your in Bluetooth range of the device from what I found. It does notifying you though. Just be prepared that your bike might be a mile away by the time you see it.Overall I think this is a great tool to add to your bike. More EBike manufacturers need to integrate this technology into their machines. As it hasn't really caught on yet it will lead you right to the doorstep of whoever steals your bike as no one is looking for something like this. I put it underneath my grips, since my grips were rubber it doesn't effect the signal.

Charging is the issue!
When it takes a charge, it works beautifully..! Motion detection is actually almost too sensitive. Phone alerts/notications are near instantaneous.Unfortunately it is nearly impossible to charge it consistently and in a timely manner!

Not sure that it was worth it. Not really that happy about it’s accuracy.
No matter where I am, the app nearly always shows that I am 13m, 60m , or 1.2km away. The other day, I was 2 miles away, but it insisted that it was 13m. Maybe mine is defective. I asked Bikefinder about the issue (1 of 2 I had), but only received help on the second one. So far - Meh…No idea who thought that using a proprietary charging port was a genius move when nearly all m]new electronics have went to a usb-C. Brilliant move considering they offer NO replacement charging cables. My guess is that they would like to sell you a new $200 unit if you lose the cable.UPDATE 09-17-2024: 4 month update. Odd thing about the battery - It gets to 100% while charging, then within minutes (while still charging) dropped down to 98%, then 97, then 96, then 95 - where it stops - I don't know if it will drop lower, because I disconnected the charging cord and tried again, where it went up to 98% and stayed there. re-plugging hours later, it momentarily went up to 100%, then dropped down to 97%, I don't know if it's a battery issue or a firmware battery capacity algorithm problem, like the apple watches 1-4 where each time yo would reboot the watch , you would get a different charge number. Either way, it's annoying, because just 2 weeks ago, it charged to 100% and then ran fine, although less than 30 minutes after a full charge, it dropped to 99%. I am thinking that this means that the ,max capacity of the battery is DEGRADING rapidly - I guess that i should expect to dish out $100 or so for anew battery next year. I would suggest doing max research on this GPS before spending any-money considering how poor the app is ( several of the functions are useless.UPDATE 10-22-2024: I am still completely lost on their choice of charging cable. I think that they designed it like this as a joke, because it makes no sense to switch from an industry standard USB-C to a proprietary 2 contact connector. Brilliant considering that you can not get a replacement cable. Have decided to never buy one of the units again. I will find something else next year when either the battery goes, or the unit fails. I am expecting one of the two to happen just due to the "intelligence" in the design. Still has issues charging properly as noted in the September update.

DO NOT BUY THIS!
Have been using this for about a year now and it will not charge without plugging and unplugging the charger and number of times. I've contacted support about this and they have been non-responsive. Find something else to track your bike.

Very Nice Security Addition
This tracker is pretty much exactly as described. I saw one of the reviews that claims the special tool to remove is just a small phillips screwdriver when in fact it is a very small tamper resistant style Torx with the security hole, so highly unlikely anyone is going to remove it. Was easy to setup and software works pretty well. Subscription is very reasonable, I signed up for 2 years for $95. My bike is over $10k so the price os the device is OK with me.2ndupdated here: I changed my 5 star to a 2 star because after using for a month, the battery began to stop charging so I contacted the company through the WEB portal about 5 times and still have never been contacted by them, no response. I returned the item and am now on my 3rd one and it has stopped charging as well. I paid for 2 years for their GPS service so I really want to keep it and stay using it but as of now, I would not recommend this.product.3rd update: After seeing for 2nd update the company reached out and said to tighten the 2 little screws on the back of the charging head and I did and that has seemed to fix the problem so all is back well again. Thanks Bike Finder for getting back to me.
