Hot
Good book, a little predictable, would have liked more background on the characters. If you're looking for a quick read with lots of sex this is the book for you!

Scott and Alison are one hot couple!
**Honest review provided in return for a free ARC**I give Booty Call a 5 star rating as I loved it - but I did have a couple of minor niggles with the book. The book is a standalone and the story of Scott and Alison. Scott works for The Horus Group with Cole, Jason and WIlson and their provide security and protection for the rich but troubled Dashford Reid family. We have already read all about Cole in Hate F*@k and his relationship with Hailey Dashford Reid. This is one of my Top 3 erotic/contemporary romance books so I was super excited to read Booty Call. Whilst you do not have to read this book first, I would definitely recommend it.Scott is the bodyguard tasked with keeping Hailey safe and this inevitably includes looking after Hailey's younger sister Alison. There is a simmering attraction between this couple, which Scott refuses to act on due to their substantial age difference. Alison however has other ideas and uses all of her feminine guile to seduce Scott and offer her V-card on a plate for his taking! There is a fairly substantial age difference between this couple but this did not bother me at all. There was a healthy dose of sexual tension and Ainsley Booth successfully teased us until Scott could resist Alison no more! The bedroom action was seriously hot and the dirty talk ramped up the 'sizzle factor' even more!! Although Alison was sexually inexperienced, the writing was believable and their relationship developed well. I could appreciate why Alison wanted to keep things simple (hence the booty calls rather than romantic dinners) and it was inevitable that things would get complicated as feelings developed. Scott was trying to keep his 'skeletons in the closet' and it was no surprise that this was going to be a mistake.Overall, they made a great couple and I was rooting for their HEA!In the spirit of a totally honest and balanced review, I would like to add a few minor observations rather than criticisms ***NOTE - SPOILER ALERT**:-1) I would have liked the book/story to be a little longer. I must point out that this is because I loved the characters and the writing so much so that this could be deemed as selfish for it not to end!2) I loved the occasional hint at spanking and felt that this could have been explored more in the bedroom as we didn't get to read about Scott and Alison acting that out.3) I wasn't sure about the choice of the final timeline, although I understood the significance of the one-year anniversary/Alison's birthday. I'm just not sure that an engagement was right for a 21 year old student after just a year with her man (however hot he is!!!)Don't let any of the above put you off as this is a must-read and I am a definite 'realist' as opposed to an 'idealist'.

Had me blushing at times!
I didn't think I would like this book but I became engrossed in it. Okay, there were some parts that seemed to be left unanswered, and the age difference between the bodyguard Scott and Alison, the girl he was protecting bothered me.Alison knew what she wanted and what she wanted was Scott. They first meet when Scott is protecting Alison's sister Hailey. In this book, they have a type of friends with benefits relationship as well. There is a lot of hot sex, maybe more than I usually like in a book, but in the background there was blossoming a tender romance. It has a feel good happy ending.I'm giving it 3.5 stars which I will round up to 4 because I think 3 stars is too low.

Hot and steamy
I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the synopsis and reviews, plus the fact it was a freebie (sometimes ropey), was she too young to make it enjoyable and relatable? Well for me, the answer is no. A bit of angst to start us off, with plenty of steamy sex to keep you interested and enough emotion and romance to make you want to finish the book and in my case, download another from the series as this is my first Ainsley Booth book.It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I would certainly recommend giving it a read, let's face it, you can't go wrong for a freebie!

Oh
Well hello Scott. And Ali is more than she seems too. Very hot. But a story running in the background too.

Not for me
I was disappointed with this book, not sure what it was but I was looking forward to reading it, the storyline sounded good, but it just didn’t do it for me. Characters Ali and Scott, Ali being just turned twenty with. Crush on her sisters bodyguard Scott who is mid thirties. Not sure if reading book 1 in this series would have been better first as there seemed to be a lot of info that wasn’t explained about Ali and Scott some back story that may have been in book 1 but we will never know.

English is a confusing language
To me some of the terms and expressions in American English are quaint but I didn't realise how different until the brief episode in London. Somehow lift sex does not sound as naughty as elevator sex. And I still cringe when I watch Pioneer Woman when she enunciated herbs as erbs.Equally a lot of this book, which I enjoyed immensely, confused me. Who was Scott's employer? He mentioned a Horus paycheck several times, but didn't seem to work for them all the time. And their ages. She was up to twenty four when suddenly in the last chapters she was twenty again. Despite that this IS a good read. Off to read the next volume with rapt anticipation!

Good but not great
This was well written enough but I didn’t really connect to it. Can’t quite explain why but I felt like an outsider looking in rather than part of the story. I actually stopped half way through and then didn’t go back to it for about a month as I really wasn’t that involved with the story. I would read more by this author though and hope that the next one is one I can get lost in!
