This is a good size bowl that is also very versatile and good looking. Because of it's basic wood and black it blends well with my decor. I have used it as a fruit bowl. It is a good size for a salad or bread bowl as well. I have one on a table near the door most often used and it is a great catchall bowl for keys, mail, etc..

The outside of these bowls look fine, but the insides are grooved and rough. They don't feel like they're even sealed, though it's possible that they are. These would work well enough for a fruit bowl or sitting out packaged treats or something, but seem like they would be difficult to clean if you had anything liquid or saucy in them. I can't see using them as salad serving bowls. Maybe for bread?I understand that handcrafted goods are rarely perfect and did not expect these to be, but the "Can easily be wiped with a clean towel." doesn't fit in this case.
