A revelation.
I've been wanting to try 'square sausage' for ages, and tried a supermarket product a few years ago. which was VERY disappointing. This, on the other hand, is the genuine article. Solid and meaty and yum yum yum!

Very nice to eat , most amount of fat I've ever seen come from a Lorne sausage though
Very tasty , great taste of home . A bit expensive though as you can get the same deal delivered by butchers across Scotland far cheaper.

good service
I have tried a number of on line providers for lorne sausage but this one is the best of them. A little expensive but well worth it. It was well packed and the delivery was on time and effecient. No comlaints whatso ever. Will order again.

It is well worth the wait.
I was anticipating the square 'saw-saj' for about a week. Drooling at the thought of revisiting my Scottish teenage years. Finishing a game of golf with my mates Billy and Stevie at Barshaw Park and rolling over to the van at the car park to buy a couple of rolls in square sausage. The delivery was on time, driver was polite and my products were in first class order. I set about 20 or so thick cuttings from the bulk and cooked 4 up straight after for the nostalgic taste of my home. Braw!I also got 2 Stornoway Black Puddings. The taste of, which cannot be beat anywhere..... Thanks Amazon.

Not worth it. Avoid. Extremely oily, and once the oil drains, there's little to no taste at all.
I put four of these into my air fryer to make a couple of rolls and square sausage each for me and a friend, and the sheer amount of oil that came from them literally filled the drainage tray up to the rack the food sits on, which is probably around an inch deep from the base of the tray up to the rack. That's way too much oil. I've never seen so much oil come from any type of food before, least of all square sausage that you'd buy from the butchers. There's something rancid about the oil too, which makes the sausage inedible. We both spat our food out and i just binned the rest of the sausage. It's like biting into some kind of weird lumpy spongy material. My dog wouldn't touch the rest of the sausages from both our plates, so it also just went into the bin.

Scottish Nostalgia
I’m a Glaswegian living in Wiltshire for 35+ years and have missed ‘square sausage’ from my younger years. I have never managed to find this in England, until I saw it on Amazon. This is my second order, and I am very pleased with the product. The orders are dispatched in special cold packaging and are delivered by APC Overnight. They arrived still nicely chilled on both occasions.Full tracking details are available on the APC website, with a two hour delivery slot, and a street map showing the driver’s location.I followed the advice of another reviewer and ordered MacLeod & MacLeod Black Pudding together with the Lorne sausage. The delivery charge is still just the same.Morrisons sell a decent black pudding at a fraction of the price, but I prefer the one from MacLeod & MacLeod, (which makes you immortal like Christopher Lambert in the 1986 Highlander movie)
