I recently used this SUV tent for a camping trip, and it turned out to be a great product. The quality of the tent was impressive; it felt durable and well-constructed, which gave me confidence in its ability to withstand the elements.The setup was a bit challenging at first, mainly because it required aligning the tent perfectly with the SUV and making sure all the poles were properly secured. However, once I got the hang of it, it was manageable. The real advantage came during teardown— it was surprisingly easy and quick to pack away.Despite the initial setup difficulties, the tent was compact for storage, which made it easy to fit in the back of my SUV. Overall, the SUV tent was a fantastic addition to my camping gear, offering both comfort and convenience while proving to be a durable and high-quality investment.

I have used this twice as a free standing tent. I have not used it connected to the suv and that is the only reason I am not giving five stars. Tent material is great and is easy setup. I have put up the tent once completely by myself and once with help, both times was super easy. Really like the height of this tent as my partner is 6'3" and it fits his height easily. I use a queen size air mattress and have plenty of walking space on both sides and room close to the door for a small rug and our bags in each corner. (The pictures are with a twin mattress when I went on a solo trip.)

Nice and spacious tent. Fits 5 people very comfortably. Easy set up. Works very well off the back of my SUV. Sturdy tent. Waterproof . Great for summer camping.

Instructions could have been better but it was fairly easy to set up, poles were all bagged in a heavy duty bag with the best tent stakes I have ever seen. Quality material and could easily be set up by one person. We are both tall and my partner could raise his arm up and not touch the very top and he is 6’2”. My only issue with it was that you have to close the awning if you want the door shut and the interior windows didn’t have ties to secure them. Overall though, without a doubt the best tent I have ever owned.

Tent size and quality was good. Could do a better job with the instructions. On the attachment to the van there were two clips that I could not figure out what they were for. Set-up needs two people but went up in good time. Teardown even easier.

The ad shows one person, but the directions inside tent say use 2 people to set up. I couldn’t set it up and was exhausted when some good samaritan saw me. It’s too tall to set up alone (I’m 5’8) and put on the rain fly alone. On the other hand, it’s a beautiful tent, tons of room, well made, I just can’t use it:(

Very spacious. Attaches nicely to our Expedition, flexible attachment, I think it will work off the back of an F150 also. It is heavy and difficult to set up. I did do it alone but I'm a big guy - it would be much harder for someone with less upper body strength. Kids love it, lots of room to play.

the first time I used it, it rained. The tent stayed up well and the connection to the car worked great. Loved to get to sleep in the car so had more room in the test for other things.

I've had a few awnings for micro campers. This is by far and away the best. Easy to erect (with 2 people) and quick to pack up. Really spacious, with good head room. A good product thats worth the money.

Not yet connected to the car, but I got it together at first trial, the quality feels great, and the tent seems really thought through, so my hopes are very high. Everything I hoped to get for what I payed, and then some.

The fly is a problem to set up. Better explanations are required. So far only used it stand alone

When up it’s fine — but tight on a tall car with side rear hinged door used a classic LR Defender and it was a tight fit.Erection instructions were poor but worked it out. Used S day tent so can’t comment on its water tightness, warmth or ability to stand wind.Worked for what we needed.
