Shoe fits nicely; but has a very pointed toe, so be cautious if you have wide feet. The heel is thick and sturdy; making it easy to walk in. The calf is slightly wide and I would have liked it to be slightly more fitted to make it more flattering. Usually a 8-8.5 shoe; the 8.5 works great for me. 5'3" and the top of the boot falls 2-3 inches below the knee.

These are very well made boots. They do have a high heel. The toe is very pointed and narrow across the width. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 and have an average width foot but had to size up to a 9 due to the very pointed and narrow toe. I could have even sized up to a 9 1/2 for a better fit but was afraid the boot would become too long in the toe.I would suggest sizing up at least a half size if you have an average width foot. I wouldn’t think that these would be good for anyone with wide feet. I was able to stretch the width on these a little bit using some shoe stretch spray and shoe stretchers.As for the calf area it is on the wider side. I have average slim calves and these boots are bit big. They look better if pants are tucked in.
