Definitely reduced noise from a/c compressor

Fitment was a challenge. As others have said the Velcro placing doesn’t work when you wrap the compressor. Made it work with some zip ties. Haven’t run it yet. Hopeful it quiets the noise.

This insulation appeared to be a good balance with size/ construction vs price point. After receiving it I installed on my scroll compressor- but it was way too big to fit snugly. My compressor is way smaller diameter than this product, and it has velcro on it which honestly does not fit well- it did not line up well because the compressor is so small diameter. I did leave it installed but wrapped a large wire tie around it to secure it. It seems to hold. Also the wrap has no provision for insulation on the top of the compressor; however I cut a piece of dense foam and placed it on top before I put the wrap over it. Overall this product is made for a way larger compressor than my scroll unit- it should fit better . Hopefully the mice will not eat too much,as it is basically just vinyl over foam. Mice ate my last one -thats why I am here.

Well made and did the trick. I just dropped $19k on a new complete hvac system and was about to go full Karen on the company because of how loud this new system was. I hate to complain so I thought I’d just give this a shot. 4 screws to remove the wire cover and fan/motor. Leaned it back against the house and was able to reach down and install this in 5min. I did cinch the whole thing down with zip ties and black gorilla “duck” tape. I also took db readings in multiple locations before and after, and this thing dropped 5 decibels all around. I also installed these rubber/foam compressor feet under the unit which added another 5 db of noise reduction. Now I can barely hear it running.

The material is easy to handle and install. However, he product is made from light foam inside and does not really have much sound proofing. Had to return it.

I used this on a 3.5 ton lennox heat pump that didnt have one. It doesnt fit tightly or well. I had to use zip ties. Also didnt seem to lower decibels but by about 5 maybe but the fit is just so loose

It was a hassle getting it over the compressor and wrapping the straps around and through the wires. There isn’t much space to work inside the a/c and it has to be wrapped tightly. But once we got it on, it made a noticeable difference in the noise. It doesn’t silence it but it made it somewhat quieter, a manageable level of noise. I am thrilled with the little bit of noise reduction that it provides. Well worth the money spent.

Really helped quite down my AC unit.

Putting this on took ten minutes Definitely made pump way more quiet. Felt like the quality of the product was not the best as the Velcro seam was ripping before I put hardly any pulling pressure to tighten valcro. Had to use zip ties for extra support for the velcro.

Great fit. Quality is of medium grade. Dampened some of the excess noise but not by much. Lowered the decibel measurement by 5.

Not nice. This is the cheapest sound blanket I ever got. As an HVAC tech it’s not worth a dollar. I don’t end up installing it. I got a proper one from my supplier. Not worth it.
